Dodge Ram Truck Ad on Drudge Report site - Hammer and Sickle?? (VANITY)
Drudge Report ^ | 11/26/2012 | Advertisement

Call me a conspiratorialist, but there is an ad popping up in the header space on the main Drudge Report website for Dodge Ram and it has an ad that looks very Communisitic to me....

They are crossing a hammer and a wrench in a similiar fashion as that of a hammer and sickle.

Probabaly just my warped mind, but was curious if anyone else was finding the same?

I took a screen shot of what I saw, but can't figure out how to post it, as it's a Flash based ad.

Anyway...I'm posting this in the Vanity section of FR.

Everyone gets different ads depending on their browsing history, so unless you can post it or link to it specifically, most of us will have no idea what you’re seeing. Right now I just see tigerdirect and amazon ads.

The ads appear to rotate with each refresh. I still haven’t seen a dodge ad yet.

Yeah...I was trying to figure that out, but...I did get the ad to re-appear after refreshing several times and then I clicked through. It doesn’t show the Flash ad, but rather a Ram website.

On the site, towards the bottom of the main page, is the picture of the crossed hammer and wrench that they had in the flash ad.

Here’s the link: http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/cts_fall12/?deeplink=chassis_cab&bid=7122964&sid=888417&pid=90321381&adid=264644208&cid=51197000&channel=display

After thinking about it...aren’t they involved with the Auto Workers Union, etc and aren’t those unions involved with the Commie’s?

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...
I see what you are talking about - a hammer and a wrench crossed over each other to form an X - but I presume that they are just showing that this is a 'manly car built for manly men who like to use manly tools' ... Kind of like lumberjacks...They're OK.

Whoa, and the hammer is going the same way as in the sickle flag. This is no coincidence. I know someone who is huge (Uge!) in NY advertising and these guys always have whole artsy stories behind their symbols. These people who get the big contracts are ex art students. Talk about hotbeds of communism.

This is NO COINCIDENCE.

Or maybe it is just truth in advertising. I.e., 'You'll need to take a wrench with you wherever you drive this Dodge Ram truck, because something is always falling apart. Then eventually you'll get fed up and use the hammer to smash all windows, and you'll go after the guy who sold you this vehicle with the claw part of the hammer...'
In that case, it is a good emblem. Maybe their next Ad will include a can of WD-40 crossed over the top of a roll of duct tape.

I never see any ads on Drudge, because I use a great little program called AdMuncher.

I’ve been using it for a long time. Never any problems, and it actually speeds things up, since you aren’t downloading all those ads.

One of the few programs of its kind that I would highly recommend.

Just so everyone knows, that $50,000.00 tough as nails Dodge Ram truck comes with PLASTIC wheel covers.

I'm sure there are different wheel options available so customers can get what they want.

I don't have a problem with plastic wheel covers, if that's what I pay for. May want to buy my own custom rims later. :)

my $50,000 Cadillac cts has chrome plated (so 1960's) and the plating is peeling off....they are stone ugly and the tires won't hold air because the poor plating extends to the tire sealing area and with the multitude of cracks...air leaks out. I have had them wire brushed a zillion times....no solution....I have to air up my tires weekly....pathetic...Mag and aluminum wheels were certainly an option that they could have provided.
