Actually, it isn't. Judeo-Christian values are part of Western Civilization not the other way around. Classical Greece, the Roman Empire, and ancient Israel formed the roots of Western Civilization. It's roots were long established before the birth of Christianity.
France has turned its back on Christianity and it is going straight down the tubes
Christianity is not Western Civilization anymore than a belief in the Greek and Roman pantheons of Gods and their place in the celestial firmament is. One need not be a Christian to have Western values.
Classical GReece, the Roman Empire and ancient Israel also formed the roots of the Russian civilisation and also of Islamic civilisation (at least until the 1700s and the rise of Wahabbiism)
Western Civilisation is part of this overall stream of Judeo-Christian values which also include the civilisations of the Russian states of Ethiopia, Georgia and Armenia and the Syriac Christianity that stretches from Syria to India and the Assyrian Christians
"Western values" as spread today which is pro-abortion, pro-gay etc. is not Christian, so in that respect you are correct
As I said, "Western Civilisation" is now about pro-abort, pro-gay and so in that respect you're correct
however, Judeo-Christian values with Roman law and Greek philosophy is what made Europe pre-eminent
Rome in its heyday was powerful in many ways, but it was not purely "european" -- rather it was centrally around the Mediterranean
And, at the same time it had as its peers the great Han Empire and the Gupta Empire and the Parthian Empire
