In response to Mitt Romney's analysis of why he may have lost the election -- specifically, that the President was successful in promising to bestow financial gifts on various constituent groups -- the Governor of Louisiana has remarked on CBS and on Fox News Sunday this morning that the Republican Party needs to stop talking down to voters and stop being ... wait for it ... the Stupid Party.

Hey! You guys! If you see Bobby Jindal, tell him that he has a state to govern, and to come home, NOW!
The man has been out of state more than he has in.
When he is, if somebody actually says the word “No!” to him, that guy’s politicial job is finished, just as good ol’ Huey Long did!
Besides, Jindal still gets the blessings of that ex-con, who used to be governor, Edwin Williams.
OMGoodness .. then this must be why the dems HATED GW so much when he refused to allow them to steal the election from him.
Also, what a lot of people don’t know (because the media won’t tell), there was a recount in FL in the 2000 election. By election law, just one year after an election, you can have a recount. It’s very expensive; hiring lawyers, paying to get files out of storage; hiring people to physically do the recount, etc. Soooooo .. the many leftist papers (including WashPost, PalmBeachPost, and a whole host of others) got together and went down to FL and recounted the ballots from 2000. Bush actually won by over 1500 votes in FL, not the 537 he was certified with. This means that the dems were able to STEAL at least 1000 votes.
The WashPost did print an article about it - about 5-6 lines in a tiny article they hid way on the inside of the paper. Guess they didn’t want anybody to know .. so they could continue to use the mantra, “Bush stole the election”. And .. sadly, most lefties didn’t know about the recount so they willingly joined in the mantra.
I caught Bob Beckel trying to float the lie, “Bush stole the election” (a full 10 years after the fact), and I wrote a scathing note to FOX calling Bob a liar and giving the FACTS - to my knowledge Bob has never said it again.
Recently, I caught Juan Williams lying about “Wide Receiver”. For those who don’t know, Wide Receiver was conceived by George Bush and the President of Mexico (they were personal friends for years) trying to stop the flow of guns across the USA and Mexico. This program ended in 2007. Fast and Furious started in 2009 (a full 2 years after Wide Receiver ended) - and there was no Mexico coordination. These are two separate programs, run by two separate administrations.
Again, I sent FOX a scathing email. What really made me mad about it was Juan had been arguing with MaryKatherine - and she had just said that the left’s contributors at FOX were willing to lie in their arguments. Sooooo .. when Juan made the statement about Wide Receiver, I began my email with: “Juan just proved MaryKatherine’s statement”.
Juan outright lied about Wide Receiver. And .. I explained to FOX about the 2 programs so they would know I had facts to back up my complaint.
I noticed that Juan was not on FOX for quite some time, so I’m wondering if a lot of other people had commented about his statement too.
But, I’m afraid a lot of people are unwilling to take the time to point out these falacies to the media outlets. It’s important to keep letting the media know - you know - these people are lying.
If people aren’t willing to do even that much .. they might as well kiss this country goodbye.
As I see it the only one who can and will dish it out lives in Alaska...
Well Jindal is right about it being the stupid party. I gave up on the GOP this year. I dislike the party now. We need a Conservative party to replace them. I am going to switch to unaffiliated in protest of the GOP’s failure to defeat Obama, defend America and conservative values and also challenge the results of the election due to voter fraud. They are all scoundrels running the party who have become as bad as the democrats and statists.
Are’nt you overlooking what the democRats talking points are?
More college tuition breaks and Pell grants
More food stamps
More free contraceptives
More unemployment checks
More free Obama cell phones
More rent subsidies
More heat subsidies
More aid to dependent children
More free healthcare to the poor via Obamacare
I fail to see any social or inspirational message in any of the above. All I see is material benefits and they won!
Sounds like Jindal does not want to run for president in 2016. Or maybe ever.
He's not eligible. He's not a natural born citizen.
You might want to get your facts straight. Jindal was born in Baton Rouge.
He was born in Louisiana.
Will you also be spouting the moronic liberal talking point that Marco Rubio isn't a natural born citizen?
Will you also be spouting the moronic liberal talking point that Marco Rubio isn’t a natural born citizen?
so what is your OPINION as to the requirements to be a natural born citizen?
He’s not eligible. He’s not a natural born citizen.
******
Agree. BOTH parents must be Americans for their off-spring to be natural born citizens. That’s it. Easy, peasy. No, I’m not going to argue. It’s been proved and documented and is a fact!
Say goodbye to the house in 2014 because the GOP is full of G_DAMN IDIOTS@!
I got my facts from Jindal. He's the one who said he's not eligible.
Republicans have won votes in the past from people on those programs because of social issues. Certainly we've done well in some states with high percentages of people on food stamps, and this year one might have expected some of the unemployed to vote for change. Certainly it seems foolish to dis those people or write off their votes. It's less a matter of what you say, though, and more a matter of how you say it. A multimillionaire candidate probably should have finessed the whole thing better than Romney did, and that may be what Jindal was talking about.
Then why are you not protesting in front of the White House about Barack Hussein Obama’s ineligibility? His father was NEVER a US citizen. Why are you wasting time posting here? Go parade in front of WH and prove that you will actually put your thinking in action.
Sorry I forgot to include you in my post #38.
You're confusing Free Republic with Occupy Wall Street. I have this thing called a "job" and other things here - way out in CA - called "responsibilities".
I've been settling on using my vacation days to go lobby in Sacramento, but that's just on my own dime. If you'd like to bankroll a federal effort, I'm certain I can put something together.
