At first, the numbers seemed too absurd to be true: did Mitt Romney really receive zero votes in 59 Philadelphia voting districts? Did Barack Obama really outpoll him by a combined 19,605 to 0 votes cast in these 59 districts.

Worse than fraud is the process that turned nearly 20,000 black Philadelphians -- and millions of inner-city dwellers throughout the country -- into automatons. Hope does not produce this kind of regimentation. Fear does. In looking at these numbers, in fact, one can begin to see how, 34 years ago this Sunday, in the jungles of Guyana, Jim Jones was able to persuade 918 of his followers, most of them poor and black, to drink their lethal Kool-Aid. Fear can do that.
Not surprisingly, it was while at college -- Indiana U -- that Jim Jones got his first injection of Marx, and he was hooked from the beginning. Given that promoting communism in 1950's Indianapolis held about as much promise as promoting traditional marriage in contemporary San Francisco, Jones took another tack. "I decided how can I demonstrate my Marxism," he would recount years later. "The thought was 'infiltrate the church.'"
In 1955 he and his wife Marceline did just that, opening the Peoples Temple Christian Church in Indianapolis. Here, Jones embarked on a second strategy, this one a proven winner in Communist circles: exploit America's Achilles heel, racial injustice. This he did as well, recruiting hundreds of Christian blacks and then subtly shifting their focus from Jesus to Marx, all the while reinforcing their fear of White America. In 1965, he moved the whole shebang to Ukiah, about 100 miles north of San Francisco up Highway 101.

Excellent article and a perfect analogy. I was living in San Francisco when all of this happened and Jones’ automatons used to stuff his bizarre newsletter into my mailbox all the time. It always featured Jones at his “temple” surrounded by grinning Dem politicians.
After Jonestown, while there was considerable shock and horror, there was absolutely no analysis of how this had happened in plain sight, the ideas on which it was based and the complicitness of the Dem establishment. Jones was portrayed as a social crusader who just couldn’t take the pressure of fighting for the good anymore and went off the rails. And it was too bad about all those poor black people, but he really had had their best interests at heart.
Things certainly haven’t changed much.
And when Obama takes the US completely off the rails, the evil white Republicans will be blamed for the ensuing chaos. You are right, nothing has changed except that Obama is doing it on purpose and has publicly stated that he intends to bring the US to the same level as the rest of the world and our prominence, resource use, military and so on, are unjust.
It would explain the purple lips.
Look how the UN, Arab countries and communists - the pushers and haters of “Big (US) and Little (Israel) Satans” - have groomed Palestinians - all “Arab Streets” that “manufacture” crazies and terrorists - “Jamestowns” (on steroids).
Just listen to how Dems bristle in defense of Obama re Benghazi, it’s unreal. The political-media complex’s next move will be to not just demonize dissenters, but to criminalize them... take “old white men” for instance; they are now pariahs, upon whom any act of incivility is cheered by that same complex... a dangerous brew is being served up, and upwards to 50% of the electorate are casually sipping the bug juice... 2’nd Amendmenters, Tea Partyers and Preppers UNITE... We spit on Che, Marx and Obama... pa-tooy!

I think it will once the $hit hits the fan and the real consequences of his (and their ) actions are realized. Sooner or later his actions are going to cause some real devastation which is going to finally impact the naive spineless parasites that voted for him and he’s going to be seen for what he really is. I’ve investigated conmen for years; sooner or later their house of cards comes tumbling down. Hopefully it’s soon.

I learned some things that even now aren’t talked about.
These methods are employed by the global climate change crowd. Big Education has "taught" generations (and are still at it) that WE are killing the planet (their futures). If you dissent you are a religious zealot and/or a greedy capitalist. James Hansen (NASA-Goddard) has called for Big "energy" Businessmen (all who "pollute") to be tried before a world court for crimes against humanity. Churches have adopted this line of "caring" and it has become part of religion teaching and lessons in almost every denomination. "Green" worries make citizens think constantly about the role they're "playing" to save Mother Earth. Al Gore has told college students that this is THEIR civil rights cause -- that THEIR parents are wrong and that they must act. Talk about kool-aid. The "Green" Lysenko Kool-aid doesn't kill you outright. No, it's self administered slow death of freedom and liberty. Those who resist are branded as "dangerous" and "not to be listened to" and are eventually eliminated for the good of humanity.
Interesting analogy. Can you imagine the hulabaloo if even *one* district, no matter how small & insignificant, had voted 100% R? The mob would be out in force with torches & pitchforks...
Everything you said is true, but the recovery comes down to percentages. What percent of his supporters are the "True believers", those individuals that will kill or die for the cause. How many are the "Opportunist"? These are the individuals that see it as a ways to make a buck. The final group would be the "Pragmatists." These are the ones that will go along with the flow since it is the path of least resistance.
If his support comes mainly from the first group than recovery will be a long drawen out process and an up hill battle. These people have their entire existence wrapped up in the cause and can see no other path.

It caused me to reflect on today’s lead editorial in the local paper, the Tulsa World. In spite of endorsing Romney, this morning they are excoriating him for pointing out the obvious: Obama bought large voting blocs with “stuff” to ensure his re-election. I expect the editorial board would suffer a mass attack of the vapors if they were to read this column with some other obvious, even harder, truths.
Didn’t Hitler at least have the decency to shoot himself?
