Just a few minutes ago on CNN, Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr reported that a high-placed source informed her that former CIA Chief David Petraeus will use his upcoming testimony to amend his previous testimony. According to this source, Petraeus will tell the closed door congressional hearing that he knew "almost immediately" that the September 11 anniversary attack on our Libyan consulate was a terrorist attack committed by the al-Qaeda-linked militia Ansar Al Sharia.

It’s a different ballgame when you are put under oath. Petraeus was not under oath when he gave his “spontaneous eruption” story to Congress back in September. This time I’m sure Congress will swear him in and the consequences for him lying now will be different.

In a sane country, maybe Petraeus could be a national hero. In the USSA? Not a chance. The media will cover it up, make distractions, do damage control, and inevitably assure that he’s remembered as a philandering, incompetent racist.
Maybe so, but Petraeus can’t be the only person in the world who knows the truth. Others will come forward if given immunity (if they don’t run into sharp-tipped umbrellas laced with polonium while canoeing in the creek in Ft. Marcy Park at night).
Uh, the date alone is significant evidence.
I do not trust anyone who works for Obama, first off. This guy did not resign after Benghazi, if he were very upset about happened he would have.
If Petraeus tells the truth - or is planning on telling the truth - we'll know because the press will start barbecuing him.

They’re floating out trial balloons to gauge reaction before he picks a story to tell. Whatever Petraeus says is going to be rehearsed, stage managed and parsed by lawyers. It will not be the truth.
There is no way to turn this guy into a hero even if he turns on his master. Do heroes slut around after other women? Do heroes work for Obama in the first place?
