[L]et's be honest. We had little reason to believe that Romney was truly dedicated to improving our social and cultural conditions -- indeed, that all-important thing called the human condition -- because he talked endlessly about his business experience. Most Americans don't like their bosses and have trouble with landlords and creditors. Talking about one's business experience is not usually a good way to win them over.
On election day, it became clear to me that the Republican Party had been led into Purgatory by the Laodicean wing. In case you aren't familiar with Revelation 3:14-17, here is what God says in that text:
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked[.]
Here's the simple version: stand for something important, damn it. Articulate human values. Be about something more than numbers. Be hot. Be cold. Be a flavor. Don't be Mitt Romney: lukewarm, milquetoast, centrist. The Laodiceans were warned -- God will spew thee out of His mouth. So it came to pass.

As an Evangelical values voter, I felt like I was the dirty family secret asked to come into the "big tent" through the side flap. In the end, I voted for Romney, but many people like me [...] decided to stay home and spend the day praying to God for strength. At least God, unlike the Republicans, will never forget us or be ashamed of us.

So do you advocate for not paying taxes?
Goode was on the ballot in Virginia.
If one believes our early settlers were led out of Europe, out from under an evil king, and a new country was founded through devine providence...and for those moral and Godly choices America was greatly rewarded, one must consider the same question asked in Joshua 24 by the Jews and answered holds the same Godly consequences.
Christians everywhere were encouraged to pray on their vote this election. But, there was an impediment to their spiritual vision...social justice within their churches. I believe many Christians, social justice Christians, voted for 0bama because their spiritual vision is clouded. 0bama came with the gifts to the poor, gifts to the struggling and a government grown on the idea of charity through redistribution.
We have consigned our fellow citizens, especially the elderly and the unborn,to a guaranteed execution.
So all who threw their vote away, or stayed away, can feel real smug about their choice.
We could have had such a different future.
Duly noted as the second time you failed to comprehend the point made. Feel free to go for three.
You and I both voted for Romney. You said that tax dollars will be used to pay for killing the unborn and the born. Will you still pay taxes?
Obama’s a lawyer. Maybe we should have hung that around his neck at every opportunity.

So is Willard....
Now theres the neck that needs things hung around...
looking at today’s headlines, I think Romney’s message was missing ONLY the fearful path to war in the Middle East.
So instead of Romney, who would defund Planned Parenthood, we have Obama who will not. Thanks for nothing.
What did Jesus tell Peter about the subject?
The point is, if more Republicans voted instead of sitting on their laurels, Obamacare could have been defunded and repealed. Lives would have been saved, and involuntary funding through taxes for on-demand abortions could have been overturned.
Now, will you continue to pay taxes?
****Now, will you continue to pay taxes?****
I asked you first. Will you still pay taxes?
No longer have work, thanks to the Obama miracle economy.
So, what do you think the answer to the question is?
For the record, I don't think of Romney as a lawyer either. He at least has demonstrated his capabilities as a businessman. And unlike 0bama he is a success.
“We have consigned our fellow citizens, especially the elderly and the unborn,to a guaranteed execution.”
You’re absolutely right.
And those who didn’t vote to eradicate the scourge may well find out the hard way, because young or old, anyone can get sick and be denied care, or have care delayed for so long that it might be too late to treat the problem.
The military medical system is a microcosm (and the cadillac version) of what is to come. Imagine the fear and horror when your pediatrician tells you that your toddler might have lymphoma and then being told by the military healthcare system that the waiting time to see a specialist for initial testing will be a minimum of several months. True story and it happened to me. At least I was able to find a private specialist for my child and pay out of pocket. Obamacare will make that option difficult, if not impossible to exercise.
Our last chance to repeal Obamacare was cavalierly tossed away by blind and foolish people.
Good post, and I am sorry to hear about your experience with your toddler. I hope your child is doing better now.
That experience is about to be multiplied exponentially across the country in the coming years.
“OMG people voted their conscience as the founders intended, those bastards!”
...despite what the ABO crowd around here claimed repeatedly.
Where are they at now?
That's exactly right!
"Don't they realize the Republican party owns their stinking votes, outright and in perpetuity, regardless of who (or what) the party elects to run? Damn their wretched socon hides -- !!!" ;)
