John Boehner has been willing to throw his conference under the bus repeatedly. We know from the Bob Woodward book that he was willing to raise taxes. We know he cut a deal with Barack Obama without consulting the rest of his conference. We know it blew up in his face.
We know he now doesnt even want to fight Obamacare, calling it the law of the land. We know he only walked back that statement because of the outrage that ensued.
We know he wants to start putting moderates into leadership positions like Cathy McMorris Rodgers instead of Tom Price. We know he is demanding conservatives get in line.
House Republicans are being badly served by John Boehner.

Boehner wants to line up as many RINO’s as possible so he can lead the charge into capitulation on amnesty and tax increases.
No, but the Republican Members of Congress can.
If you think they will, well, you are still afflicted by the "GOP fantasy", but, you're in good company here.
Boner is making Denny “The Walrus” Hastert look competent.
Has anyone else thrown their hat into the ring?
I would love to see it happen, but I think the GOP-e still holds an iron grip on the reins of power.
I second...
All in favor say “Aye”...
That’s an interesting thought. It would mean the losing presidential candidate could become the Speaker and fight directly against the person he lost to.
Gotta admit, it would be real strange to see Romney as the Speaker.
I wouldn’t want Romney to be the Speaker, but for the time being he is a handy example.
That would be terrific.
I’ve had enough of the Cowardly Lion and his fake tan.
I would have thought after his road to Oz he’d have more courage but, he’s just another Casper milk toast...
"Anyone else wanna negotiate?" (Fifth Element)
With all the negativity surrounding congress that position will turn him into a lightning rod. As much as we need him there I think it would be a terrible political career decision.
I agree with you on Boehner.
He has in the past tried to get House legislation, including a budget, to the Senate but Harry Reid sandbagged those items.
What I find intolerable is John Boehner’s reluctance to take on the Democrats. Does he have something in his background blackmailable that the the Democrats hold over his head?
It should be a rule that after a presidential election, all posts are vacant and should be open for candidates from states that voted for the GOP nominee. If you come from a state that went for Obama this time, you would be disqualified for leadership roles. The Republicans would get rid of several RINO leaders if this were the rule.
As God is my witness, I was thinking yesterday how much Boehner reminded me of the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz. Weeping, wishing he had some courage.
maybe they threaten him with showing “Old Yeller” and making him cry.
duh
That’s why I said.
I haven’t spotted his tail but if I do I’m gonna change my mind and call him a lizard...
