Glenn "aka George III" Beck declares secession ridiculous.
Texas is too good for him.
Yeah, King George slapped his thigh and cackled with glee when they told him the colonists wanted to secede.
My bad. Poorly constructed sentence.
secession is ridiculous
People should be protesting the election and demanding Obama resign. That would do much more to save freedom then these petitions.
Secession is the only thing that will get the attention of the beast. What is ridiculous is to take that off the table. It is the trump card that must be held in reserve.

Yes secession is not appropriate AT THIS TIME.
Not secession of the red states, but expulsion of the blue states.
For the same reason Canada is not part of the US, because they wanted to have a king, the blue states want Obama, so let them leave the US, and they can spend themselves into a black hole, and it will no longer be our problem to fix their defectiveness and lack of self control.
Just put up a passport regime at the state borders, and limit immigration after a certain date.
There’s nothing that stirs up a leftist like the proposal of secession.
It makes them so upset because they know it is THE trump card, putting out of reach a group of people whom they want to subjugate.
They also know it would be the end of them and their ideology, because with a stark choice between collectivism and individual freedom, those who can produce will choose freedom, and the unproductive will choose collectivism, causing their system to not only crashed, but to be exposed as unworkable.
petitioning for something isn’t holding it in reserve.
What would be the likely outcome of America breaking apart?
So it is not ridiculous, right? Is that what you are saying?
50 million people voted for their freedom, and they were outnumbered. Now they see that those who they voted for, Boehner and others, are willing to cooperate in the further diminution of those freedoms in the name of a “grand bargain.” 50 million people have the God given right, and the unalienable right to preserve their freedoms, regardless of who “won” the election. And if Boehner et al don’t agree, the people must proceed without them.
Some of the states could actually follows the Constitution, or a re-Constitution that outlaws socialism.
There are things you would not do for your freedom, interesting. Anything else? Any other limitations?
Of course it is. How is the new country going to deal with all their people that are currently on federal welfare, health and aid programs?
It is ridiculous. It’s a distraction from the hard work of articulating and selling the benefits of conservatism, and holding our elected officials’ feet to the fire.
Stay focused.
Yes, it is ridiculous.
It isn’t going to happen, certainly not legally or peacefully.
Don’t sign the petition either. To do so is incredibily stupid.
Secession is to the leftist/statist as a cross is to a vampire.
“Some of the states could actually follows the Constitution, or a re-Constitution that outlaws socialism.”
Before or after the resulting chaos?
“There are things you would not do for your freedom, interesting. Anything else? Any other limitations?”
So now you turn to insults. KMA You are the one who doesn’t have the balls to fight for America.
Lots of smaller battles (10th amendment) not even engaged yet.
cash box, $ power.
DEFUND. Prepare. Persevere.
Glenn Beck’s show is very good today. HOORAY Glenn Beck!
