Bid for freedom: People from the states marked in red have lodged petitions asking to break away from the rest of the United States since Obama returned to the White House
Although America carried President Obama confidently into a second term last Tuesday - not everyone is jumping for joy at the prospect of four more years.
Tens of thousands have put their names to secession petitions in 20 states, asking that they peacefully become independent from the rest of the country.
The documents have been lodged on a government website We The People - and Texas has almost enough people behind its petition to warrant an official White House response.

We get farther apart every year. It is my earnest hope that no one is stupid enough to throw down the gauntlet. But the situation is far more advanced than people realize. It just isn't in these people's DNA to sit down and come to a win-win agreement. They are all zero-sum thinkers that require anyone who disagrees with them to lose for them to win, and the bigger the loss, the better.
...then they are rife with corruption and dishonesty...
This whole Benghazi mess is a perfect example. Obama needed someone to go under the bus, and Petraeus had already tried to throw Obama under simply by not falling on his sword and taking the blame. So his affair comes to light. That Hideous Strength, C.S. Lewis.
Another example is the new CEO of Lockheed. He embarrassed Obama by announcing layoffs right before the election.
Remember that word, "revenge" Obama and Jarrett kept throwing around?
This is our future. No leader actually taking responsibility for his decisions, or truly leading with an honest appraisal of costs. Rather, a constant search for someone to blame and a complicit media ready to do whatever it takes to advance the leftist agenda at other people's expense.
For food if anything.
I expect that more of the grey states in the middle of the country will go red.
However, a lot of the states that are grey yet are not big food producers.
One can only imagine what would happen if most of the big food producing states seceded and the non-producing ones flexed their muscles.
Before secession, that precedent has said will be met with military force, try reasserting 10th Amendment rights as states. States, under a properly functioning 10th Amendment (which hasn’t functioned as intended since the civil war) would not feel compelled to seek secession.
Two thoughts:
1) Is it really that big an idea that these petitions exist? All it takes is one person to kick it off, right? And 10,000 angry conservatives even in one state is pretty easy to find. That’s just like four high-schools worth of people. Not saying it isn’t a great idea, but still...
2) I hear that my state, Colorado, also has a petition. I’d like a different petition: to send all the Californian expats in Boulder/Denver etc. back to their failed utopias. Seriously, why should I have to leave the Union because you jackasses decided to move in? Here’s a thought: maybe electing the same people here to enact the same policies that you’re fleeing from isn’t such a hot idea. Leave crazy at home. Don’t bring crazy with you.
Get real. Have you seen Hillary lately? She looks like she's aged 30 years in the last 4. She won't be fit for anything but a rocking chair and a drool cup in another four years.

Yep, could be a trap.... what do you wanna bet those signers get audited next year?
But then again, there’s that document that starts out with “when in the course of human events” and ends with “we pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor”
And when the response it receives is a NO, I hope that’s enough to propel the rest of the states to 25000 votes,and whatever additional states willing to do it take up the challenge.
Between Hollywood and the media she will look like Scarlet Johansson and sound like Franklin Roosevelt. When any real work needs to be done Valerie Jarrett will wheel Hillary out of the way to drool in the corner and get to it.
That is the only way I see it happening and working too.

Who won is anybody’s guess.
I’m praying you’re right, but (1) Castro and Chavez appear to be immortal, and (2) her campaign has already begun. That woman will be evil until the day she dies and will vote Democrat for twenty years afterward.

Sir, multiple counties in multiple states with over 100% voter turnout. Dear Leader attaining 99-100% of the votes. We are a banana republic.
There is no more time to straighten out the GOP or form a third conservative party. We are too far in debt, too far out of control on monetary supply, and the crisis is now, not four years or twelve years. Now is the time of collapse.
I pray that the Great Plains states and the deep South secede. It will smooth the fall and limit the chaos, and maybe save lives.
There is no way that Idaho or Utah would agree to link up with California, Oregon and Washington.
If there were a split, the Marxist left coast would look like Chile and all of the eastern counties of California, Oregon, and Washington would join with Idaho, Utah, Montana and Wyoming.
The Republican party will ignore it,
Conservative talk radio will give the topic 5 minutes if any at all...Just enough time to proclaim ( with umbrage) that, “Yes, indeed! We did, too, talk about it!”
They don’t like the union with us anymore than we do. Have you ever wondered how much of a thorin in the leftist side we are?
Our every victory, our every stalemate is a stab against their dreams of socialist slavery. If we left the picture they could build their communist utopia unhindered by anything but the laws of physics & human nature. (A Big problem but their problem nonetheless.)
