Those Other Petraeus Emails

Likely we will never get to read the email exchanges between Petraeus and Paula Broadwell, but we do have these, accidentally leaked to Mondoweiss, between the celebrated general and Romney the advisor and uberhawk Max Boot. The context is that in 2010 Petraeus submitted a statement before the Senate Armed Services Committee which said that the conflict between Israel and Palestine presented challenges for America’s ability to advance its interests in the Muslim world.

I'm ready to hit the rack. I wrote some long comments to you on similar posts, then deleted them before publishing. They had to do with real honor and agreeing with your statements to one FReeper as to why the good general should just march up to Congress and spill his guts on the whole deal. Honor bound.
Then we read things such as this. Funny three minutes prior to reading this I was lecturing on why the general should fall back on "Sacred Honor". Now this.
Glad I held off. But I'm still with your suggestion he should tell the miserable Administration to just fuck off and go to the House and Senate and lay out the whole deal.

If the DOD decided to refuse his pension they also at this point would be exposed as total pricks.

But the cover up to protect the POTUS from any wrong doing, when it most probably is all his, the black widow's (Jarrett), others within his staff, that apparently turned their backs on the whole tragedy as it played out, poor Lame was probably sobbing at her real time video on monitor as it played out. Why continue. We for the most part have it figured out.

I'm open for comments. But most of us are on board at this point in understanding the terrible dereliction of duty.

TE. Thanks for the support. I hate to use what many consider foul words. Yes. It is so disheartening. I hate it. I still have a wonderful nephew (former active Marine) living in some remote FOB in Afghanistan doing what he must do, in support this time primarily for the US Army. He has another ten months to go before Lord willing returning to this blessed land. It's all so very personal for me.

McConnels is an antisemitic bigot. The "American Conservative" magazine was founded to whine that Jews stole their jobs in the Reagan Administration (the so-called neo cons).

As for Petraus, we need someone who understands Islam -- not an appeaser who blames the Jews for everything that goes on in that region or even the world at large. Gen. Petraus can take his mistress and live on an island somewhere.

The article is right about his comments being a banal observation of fact. The Isreli/Palestinian conflict complicates US relations with the Arab/Muslim world.

Whether Israel is an apartheid state is a debatable point, with the answer depending mainly on definitions. That Arabs/Muslims view it as such is just another banal recitation of reality.
