Yep, exactly. NYT even did a style piece on Broadwell today. A Freeper asked why the NYT was doing an article on Broadwell that portrayed her as Donna Reed, LOL.
Once Kelley’s name was revealed today and that she vacations with Holly and David, I wondered why she didn’t call Petraeus about it first. Now, in light of new info, for all we know, he might have been the person who told her to call the FBI.
When Griffin said “PEOPLE,” instead of person (Kelley), I wondered if maybe Broadwell herself might have gotten a threatening email.
Also, I haven’t seen this confirmed, but Peter King said FBI has been investigating for the last FOUR months...which is more than a couple, which is the phrase I have seen thrown around in reports.
Finally, I am wondering if/hoping Petraeus has some new plans for some non-sexual extra-circular activities until he finds a new job.

Last I read the state dept would not confirm or deny Kelly’s employment, so I appreciate your report that Jennifer got that question settled. I’m resigned to the printed word and FR.
I have not watched FOX news since the election, nor any other news. I am so done, for the time being, with all the hype and clatter and opted instead for a spiritual retreat of the in-house variety. The silence is bliss.

Possible scenario:
Blackmailer: Paula Kelley, you tell your friend Petraeus to (fill in the blank with a demanded action or inaction) or I (we) will reveal his affair with Broadwell.
What threatened actions or inactions could the blackmailer be demanding from Petraeus?
Assuming that the blackmail has something to do with Benghazi, off the top of my head:
1. Resign immediately and shut up
2. Stick to the video demonstration story that we told you to tell during the first congressional briefing, only make it more convinceing this time!
3. Whatever you do don’t tell the truth about Barry’s involvement (failure to issue CBA) or that of his key underlings

Sources tell Fox News the women is 37-year-old Jill Kelley, a close friend of the Petraeus family.
Sounds like Obama is all in to protect our all too silent Broadwell. She has been quietly waiting for rescue?

It was a so called “whistle blower” inside the FBI who told a friend who then told Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Wash about the investigation. He then went to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who reported it to the FBI.
This is how the cover-up began to unravel.

Just FYI...Wall Street Journal is reporting that classified material belonging to Petraeus was found on Broadwell’s computer. Also Akinson of CBS just hinted on twitter that she will have new info on Benghazi and Petraeus at 7 am.
My first reaction? The “tip” was nothing more than a plant to involve the Republicans, giving Obama an opportunity (if required) to say that GOP leaders knew about it, too. And sure enough, the report in the NYT appeared right on cue, just as Republican members of Congress were wondering why the scandal remained a secret until after the election. The purpose of the NYT article is to insinuate that Cantor knew before the President.
Here’s the real story: the FBI tipster was supposedly a whistleblower, suggesting he had no confidence in the agency’s ability to conduct an unbiased investigation. And the WSJ reported last night that AG Eric Holder knew about the probe for months. Clearly, the Obama Administration was using the investigation to keep Petraeus in line and they played the card when Benghazi unfolded. Now, with his personal life in tatters, the former CIA Director conveniently can’t testify before Congress this week—and the GOP is rolling over, right on schedule.
This was clearly an inside job by the White House and I’m deeply suspicious of that “tip.” If the GOP had a spine (very doubtful), they’d bring the whistleblower in to testify as well.
One final note: the blog listed below does a good job in connecting some of the newer “dots” in the Petraeus affair, such as Paula Broadwell’s public admission (on 26 Oct) that our CIA operatives in Benghazi specifically requested an “in-extremis” force to assist them. She even provides some details on these units. Her comment seems to mesh with reports about General Ham (AFRICOM/CC) trying to send forces to Benghazi to assist the CIA guys on the ground. As the CINC, Ham had operational control of the command’s in-extremis force.

It was reported earlier that she had access to his email account. Did he give her his password or did she guess it?
It would not surprise me if your thoughts about the tip was true.
Betrayus had already served his purpose by spouting the video lies,
or worse, created the lies from the CIA that the other Obama hacks used.
The Chicago athugs had leverage over Betrayus. Once he served his purpose, the “tip” suddenly came out and Betrayus then became the disgraced fall guy.
I do believe he has referred to himself as a ‘Rockefeller Republican’, which should have been all the hint anyone would need.

That information helped resolve concerns that there was a national-security breach, although the source of the documents hadn’t been determined.”

It sounds like there was a covert CIA operation going on and they had ‘detained’ several local militia/militants at the annex.
It’s possible that he repeated the video story to try to keep a lid on the fact that they were arresting & questioning militants in a foreign country.
