CIA Director David Petraeus resigned over an extramarital affair, according to a letter he sent to CIA staff. The news was confirmed by Press Secretary Jay Carney in a briefing this afternoon.
Slate's Fred Kaplan quickly reported that the affair was with Paula Broadwell — Gen. Petraeus' biographer who was embedded with him in Afghanistan. Now, NBC is reporting that the FBI has been investigating Broadwell, fearing that she had access to some confidential information.

It’s more than just 4 men left behind... it’s 4 men that some how is a little “ inconvenience “ to them.
That doesn’t really add up. The ‘story’ states that the affair was over last year and she wasn’t accepting emails from him. I’m sooooooo confused!!
He should’ve told the FBI his book was about 0bama’s OBL raid and that he’s also given Hollywood and Sony pictures some classified information.

If the affair was phony then how does one explain the emails sent after the breakup (see CNN story mentioned in this thread) or is CNN story a lie also? Not that I believe CNN, just wondering about the info
If you remember, way back in 2008, Petraeus' name was being thrown around as a possible GOP nominee in 2012.
THIS is a great example of how far the Obama machine will go to prepare the destruction of potential rivals.
