Freedom Works has put together a list of companies that will be laying of employees as a result of President Barack Obama's health care law:
Welch Allyn
Welch Allyn, a company that manufactures medical diagnostic equipment in central New York, announced in September that they would be laying off 275 employees, or roughly 10% of their workforce over the next three years. One of the major reasons discussed for the layoffs was a proactive response to the Medical Device Tax mandated by the new healthcare law.
Dana Holding Corp.
As recently as a week ago, a global auto parts manufacturing company in Ohio known as Dana Holding Corp., warned their employees of potential layoffs, citing "$24 million over the next six years in additional U.S. health care expenses". After laying off several white collar staffers, company insiders have hinted at more to come. The company will have to cover the additional $24 million cost somehow, which will likely equate to numerous cuts in their current workforce of 25,500 worldwide.
Stryker
One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker will close their facility in Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs in December. Worse, they plan on countering the medical device tax in Obamacare by slashing 5% of their global workforce - an estimated 1,170 positions.
Boston Scientific
In October of 2009, Boston Scientific CEO Ray Elliott, warned that proposed taxes in the health care reform bill could "lead to significant job losses" for his company. Nearly two years later, Elliott announced that the company would be cutting anywhere between 1,200 and 1,400 jobs, while simultaneously shifting investments and workers overseas - to China.
Medtronic
In March of 2010, medical device maker Medtronic warned that Obamacare taxes could result in a reduction of precisely 1,000 jobs.

We closed our business earlier this year and laid-off all employees. As I sit in my retirement, I am somewhat disappointed that I can’t lay-off anyone now because of what we all knew was coming. Elections have consequences, nobnama dolts.

Romney's fault! Damn you, Bain Capital!
People are talking about cutting cable, newspaper subscriptions, not dealing with any leftist owned business, etc...
I can’t do that, because I already did that starting in ‘08.
All good things, but the imperative is to get yourself away from any urban area, or suburban area that is on a bus or rail line.
You can see what happens up in the northeast, everybody stuck together and sh!t happens. It won’t be any different when all the urban areas start running out of food, etc.
You have to be away from the leeches long enough for them to eat their own, so to speak....a week to a month after urban society tanks - let the government deal with them and stay down.
The very second thing that is an imperative are several weapons ranging from machetes, knives to shotguns, hi cap rifles, 9mm-45ACP pistols, and one or two good pump shotguns.
No matter what stores, seeds, water, gas, electricity, etc., if you can’t protect it, you don’t have it.

Isn't the Stryker lady one of Obama's big bundler's? She also was a major investor in a Colorado Solar Panel company that went BK recently.
Obamacare taxes the medical device companies. Medical device companies pass the cost on to patients. Insurers pay for the increased cost. Insurers charge higher rates. Government requires everybody to have insurance.
Everybody pays this tax.
pretty well most of the layoffs for Boston Scientific have occurred and finished as of October 2012. There may be a smattering of them next spring, but the bulk of it is done (the 1200 - 1400 that were announced back in 2010-11 to be occurring up to and throughout 2013).
Also illegal to take your business overseas, shut your business down, vote, own firearms, pray, build Christian churches, gather in existing Christian churches, own a home, car, or marry anyone of opposite sex, have any medicare except obamacare. Plus, he will take away ALL passports so you can't leave the country. I can keep this going on but maybe you already got the drift.
The unions drove us out of the construction industry - we finally gave up in 2004. My husband and I now both work for billionaires and I am so happy we’re still not trying to deal with those unions. Life is too short!
I am just about there myself. Although I know that many will suffer.
Let the "tax cuts" expire? Why not. If the system is going to crash, let's get it over with while Obama is in office.
I guess we all do, in a way.
The problem is there won’t be many working folks to pay for these programs - so it goes bust. Goodbye America -hello soup lines.
And now a brief message to all lefties:
WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!! WHERE ALL YOUR WISHES WILL FINALLY COME TRUE!! SUBSIDIZED HOUSING AND CRIME WILL ALL BE SHARED EQUALLY.
FORWARD we are on the right track......................

Wife went ballistic when I tried just renting one. I couldn't imagine what she'd do if I bought one.
I agree. I think things will happen so fast, that by the end of the first quarter of 2013, even some liberals will be dazed, wondering what happened. Even the media will not be able to spin things in a way that looks good. The 2009-2012 years are going to look like great prosperity compared to what will be coming.
