Because they are damn fools?
Call me a racist, I don't give a jit anymore ...
4 - 5 million "others" voted illegally.
I’m not quite at this place myself but I completely understand why people have stopped coming out to vote for Republicans.
We elect a democrat president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.
We elect a republican president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.
I fully expected that under a Romney presidency, Federal spending and debt would have gone up, regulations would become more onerous, we would become less free.
Did I say there’s no difference between the democrats and the republicans? No.
Did I say no republican in 75 years has done anything except talk about changing the direction we’re headed in? Yes. Not even Reagan.
if that is the case , they should all be whipped , tarred and feathered . In that order .... They simply have NO RIGHT to sell out our country to socialism and Israel to unsupported war with Iran , all on account of their own small minded peevishness . No right ....damn them all to hell , I hope they get what they now deserve .
Because the Republican establishment stood by and let the Tea Party be demonized and called “crazy”. Which killed a lot of grassroots enthusiasm.
The conservative purists want it all RIGHT NOW. Just like my young son.
You don’t strip away the welfare state with a single election. Romney and Ryan were our first numbers guy EVER. And now we’re stuck with a marxist because of guys like Ken in Livonia.
The were waiting for Dancing with the Stars.
It even gets worse, go back to GWB’s 2004 numbers and it looks like over 5M white voters stayed home.
Rush doesn’t believe it was vote fraud?
The 3 million Republicans that didn’t vote is very telling. They undercut their own party at every chance they get. Then they bitch and moan about eveything else. If we can get 3 million of our own party to get rid of BO, how the hell are we going to get hispanics, women, abortion lovers, etc.. to vote with us?
GOP-e reaching across the aisle for the interests of everyone...except conservatives, evangelicals, libertarians, white males.
GOP-e trying to reach out to demographics so their tent can be bigger and voting base larger...except conservatives, evangelicals, libertarians, white males.
I don’t agree with staying home or not voting for the lesser of 2 evils, but I do understand why they stayed home.
Why should those who have been shunned and made fun of by the GOP abandoned their values and principles and not the other way around?
Because they’ve got some sick desire to run around shouting “See! See! I told ya so!” when the country implodes in a few years?
I say the missing GOP was there, but their votes were siphoned off to bama
Could it be that there are many Republicans who didn’t vote for Romney because he is Mormon?
Maybe there was no voter suppression per se but I suspect there was demoralization and a sense of futility. They’ve had 4 years of being called racist, unpatriotic, potential terrorists, etc. by the Dems. They’ve had 2 years of watching the Pubs they voted for fail to make good on their promise to defund obamacare in the House. Maybe they understand that no one in DC really represents their wishes any more?
We elect a republican president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.
I think you just made Rush's point. It used to be that a Democrat president would spend more and run up the debt, while giving in to social demands. When the economy tanked as a result of the spending, the electorate would choose a Republican to set the nation back on a fiscally responsible course. Once the finances were stabilized, they would again elect a Dem to enable their social demands. (I'm thinking of the Carter - Reagan - Clinton - Bush years).
But the Republican party, wanting to keep pace with contemporary society, have swung more to the left, opting for moderates. Where does that leave conservatives? Abandoned. That is the point Rush has been trying to make. He said the Republican party needs to take the bold step and return to its more conservative roots. Failing that, they will continue to lose ground.
