I’m not quite at this place myself but I completely understand why people have stopped coming out to vote for Republicans.

We elect a democrat president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.

The 3 million Republicans that didn’t vote is very telling. They undercut their own party at every chance they get. Then they bitch and moan about eveything else. Maybe there was no voter suppression per se but I suspect there was demoralization and a sense of futility. They’ve had 4 years of being called racist, unpatriotic, potential terrorists, etc. by the Dems. They’ve had 2 years of watching the Pubs they voted for fail to make good on their promise to defund obamacare in the House. Maybe they understand that no one in DC really represents their wishes any more?

Quite frankly, I am to the point that I don’t give a flip.

But, I am of the mind that choices in life and politics aren’t easy. And, in a war, you sometimes have to align yourself with allies that aren’t exactly compatible with your ideologies in order to defeat a greater enemy.

I guess these “conservatives” didn’t realize how great the enemy or the war really will be.
