I’m not quite at this place myself but I completely understand why people have stopped coming out to vote for Republicans.

We elect a democrat president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.

We elect a republican president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.

I fully expected that under a Romney presidency, Federal spending and debt would have gone up, regulations would become more onerous, we would become less free.

Did I say there’s no difference between the democrats and the republicans? No.

Did I say no republican in 75 years has done anything except talk about changing the direction we’re headed in? Yes. Not even Reagan.

I think you just made Rush's point. It used to be that a Democrat president would spend more and run up the debt, while giving in to social demands. When the economy tanked as a result of the spending, the electorate would choose a Republican to set the nation back on a fiscally responsible course. Once the finances were stabilized, they would again elect a Dem to enable their social demands. (I'm thinking of the Carter - Reagan - Clinton - Bush years).

But the Republican party, wanting to keep pace with contemporary society, have swung more to the left, opting for moderates. Where does that leave conservatives? Abandoned. That is the point Rush has been trying to make. He said the Republican party needs to take the bold step and return to its more conservative roots. Failing that, they will continue to lose ground.

The additional Obama USSC appointees will make you look like a fool and we will all suffer for those appointees far into the future.

Bingo.

So now, why is it exactly that the ONE candidate who actually says this is despised by all? That would be Ron Paul.

Now maybe, just maybe ... he was on to something there. Food for thought.

Well, I don’t completely understand. All I’ve heard is excuses and finger pointing from those who stayed home, voted for a lesser candidate, voted for themselves, voted for none of the above, whatever. This is not what my Dad, husband, brothers, et al fought for. Stay home? Vote for yourself? When there are kids, to include my nephew, sitting in Afghanistan and Big Sis may be our next Attorney General? NO! You crawl on you rotten knees until they bleed to get to a polling place and you try again and again. And again...until one generation gets it. Until someone understands that the wife of the president’s best friend called us “Mitches” and we’re not allowed to call her anything!!! I’m sick for my family. For those of you who stayed home or voted for yourself, I don’t give a damn about your family. Go ask Obama for help. You’re not Mitches.

Read "The Manchurian President" by Aaron Klein and it will all be made clear to you. OK on Kindle.

I just watched a segment on Fox Business about the coal industry. Coal stocks have dropped 20% in the two days since the election of the worst president in the US history.

Obama's extremist environmental nazis have declared war on coal which translates higher energy costs for all of us. Romney repeatedly declared his loyalty to the coal industry. If for no other reason alone, that would be enough for me to support Romney.

Obama is a Communist/Muslim--it can't get any worse than this.

I get where you’re coming from. I voted for Romney and I wanted him to win, but at the same time I wasn’t expecting much from him even if he won.

The way I see it we’re headed off a fiscal cliff at 80 MPH. Romney might have slowed it down to about 40-50 MPH, but we’d still be headed off the cliff. Now that Obama has won and has more flexibility he’ll probably speed it up to 120.

The ETA may be in doubt, but the destination is not.

You are right on both Dem and Repub points. We knew what Romney was and dealt with it.
The American 3-mil Repubs who also knew it decided to stay home because of it. They also
refused to vote for McCain in larger numbers. So what does the RNC do about it? I'm waiting to see
but my bet in nothing at all.

The RNC is just waiting to get lucky so they can have another turn at the helm.
And that's not just my Opinion!
