BALTIMORE (CBSDC) — Attorney General Eric Holder might not be sticking around for a second term.
Holder told law school students at the University of Baltimore School of Law that he does not know if he will stay in his job.
“That’s something that I’m in the process now of trying to determine,” Holder said. “I have to think about, can I contribute in a second term?”
Holder says he needs to sit down with his family and President Obama to see if he wants to continue on the job.
“[I have to] really ask myself the question about, do I think there are things that I still want to do? Do I have gas left in the tank? It’s been an interesting and tough four years, so I really just don’t know,” Holder told students.
Holder has been under fire from congressional Republicans for what he knew about the botched “Fast and Furious” operation where the U.S. allowed guns to be sold illegally in hopes to track Mexican drug cartels. Holder was found in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over documents regarding the operation. President Obama has invoked executive privilege.
Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was reportedly killed with one of the guns used in the ATF operation.
Terry’s December 2010 death lifted the veil on the bungled federal government’s gun-smuggling investigation that was later the subject of congressional probes.
Federal authorities have faced heavy criticism for allowing suspected straw gun buyers to walk away from shops with weapons, rather than arrest the suspects and seize the guns there.
Two rifles bought by a gun-smuggling ring that was being monitored through “Fast and Furious” were found at the scene. But authorities have declined to say whether the murder weapon in Terry’s death was linked to a purchase

What's the statute of limitation for National criminal abuse of power under color of authority?
(That would be abuse of Constitutional powers and laws for purely political purposes, and selective prosecution in violation of several items in the Bill of Rights.)
I am assuming his precedents will not stand. We just need some House members with the morals, ethics and intestinal fortitude to initiate a process.
Holder isn’t going anywhere, unless Obama wants to replace him with an even more radical member of his inner circle.

Most of the cabinet changes after the reelection of any President. They are just finishing a grueling 4 years of 20 hour days and intense stress and pressure. They deserve to go back to some semblence of normal.
In Holder’s case, I would also add that there is a distinct possibility, given what we have seen with the Fast and Furious cover-up, that there is something so bad buried there that even some Senate Dems would vote for removal after impeachment should it come out.

Yep, and we’ll probably be sending the “senior” senator John (I was in Vietnam, ya know) Kerry to replace the Hildebeast as Sec State.
It gets more bizarre. Fauxcahantas Lizzie Warren (D-Moscow) will then become the senior senator from the People’s Republic and will gleefuly assume Ted Kennedy’s (D-Hell) acclaimed title as the Liar of the Senate.

Now that Congress is onto him he can't kill any more citizens or Mexicans with his illegal gun trafficking so what's the fun in staying on. He'd be stuck doing really boring stuff.

You could be right. It is going to be interesting this next 4 years because EVERY president has problems the second term. Obama will not be immuned.
I won’t be staying on. Decided to spend more time away from my family, possibly in a different country until the heat is off.
Off to enjoy the same paycheck he gets now with no headaches. Stupid effin government. No wonder were broke.
