I’m down in Philly and we call them N’oreasters. All along the coast north of the NC/VA border, when these storms start intensifying just off the Carolina coastine, the winds start to pick up from the Northeast and then gradually start shifting around counterclockwise as the storm moves up the coast.

I so badly for those poor people who did not have the money to reestablish themselves elsewhere and ended up in flooded houses or shelters. The cost of housing is so high in NYC. They are going to suffer more with this storm.
