With concern that the current Speaker of the House will cave on issues such as the debt limit, it is time to make Paul Ryan Speaker of the House. Please contact your U.S. Representative.

Boner played with himself and appeased Obama. This is the main reason Repubican voters were not that enthusiastic this election. Kick that cry baby alcoholic out of the speaker’s seat.
Huh? Ryan polls quite well and is in no way tainted. His solutions are not unpopular, and in fact are the signature legislation of the House majority that just got overwhelmingly returned to Washington.
In fact, I guarantee you see Obama latch on to parts of his budget by spring to show his compromising abilities.

What? You just stated the the liberal platform. How are we supposed to get people back to work if they are comfortable with their entitlements? You can't just keep spending money (on top of not bringing in enough to match) and expect things to get better.
My choice is Allen West...but no matter, Boehner must go.

When they get enough calls with the idea, they go to Ryan (Mainly because he is a star and they want to be around a star) and they mention to he an others that folks are pushing the idea. That’s how the seed gets planted in Washington. Is also wakes up the current Speaker and forces his hand.
And before someone calls this idea of movement dubious, realize that this is how some things work on the Hill. By the way, Dirty Harry is talking about changing filibuster rools in the Senate (according to Fox News). So anything that causes a stir and at least wakes up the current Speaker...well, I’ll try anything at this point.

well, you can sit around and whine and do nothing like too many on FR have come to do over the recent years.
I remember a time when folks on FR had a pair and would get in the active fight. I remember when we took on Dan Rathers.
Just being critics equates to doing nothing. Licking wounds aint my game. Only blood I want to taste is that of the opponent.
I expect as much, but I think in the big picture they’re still a drop in the bucket. I left because I don’t see how you can support the choice of abortion (what about the kid’s rights?)or open border or a nuclear weapon in the hands of fanatics.
However, I don’t find much solace in the GOP. I would put money and time behind an effort to make the GOP a third party and have an emerging conservative party.
I’m 66 and riding into the sunset with several illnesses. So someone lead and I’ll follow.
Many of us may not like Boehner, but he has basically flown under the radar. It may be one of the reasons why the House majority was basically untouched, even though the GOP was being pummeled everywhere else.
A high profile Speaker is risky (as we saw with Gingrich).
you can pretend that libertarians are really Republicans if you want, but they’re not. most of them, if they didn’t vote for each other, would vote for a democrat

These Wisconsin guys are probably Conservative by the local standards, but not in reality.
They aren't comfortable with their entitlements. They want jobs, but we lowered our import tariffs and outsourced the jobs to China and other countries.

No you can't. But the correct way to fix this is not cut out the safety nets and hope people find jobs that they couldn't find before. The right way is to create the conditions for the jobs to return to America which means restoring the protective tariffs that our founders put in place. Put Americans working for Americans instead of Chinese working for Americans and people won't be clinging to those safety nets any more.
That's not the liberal position. The liberal position is to supply the safety nets and do nothing to get the jobs back.
That's not Romney's position. Romney's position was to cut the safety nets and do nothing to get the jobs back. And to enter more free trade agreements which will outsource even more jobs.
