I believe there was huge anti-Morman voting throughout this election.

Well gee, my candidate didn’t win or do as I wanted so I’m going to stay home and pout!

No matter the damage to the country.

In my view, that is outright sin...and you can that THAT to the bank.

Ummm...I’m an Evangelical and I didn’t stay home. I voted, but I voted for a Conservative Christian - Virgil Goode (who was on my ballot not a write in) rather than vote for either Obama or Romney. I know several other Evangelicals who did the same.

Of all my Evangelical friends I only have ONE who stayed home and she lives in Utah so figured there was no point.

Sure, blame the Christians again. I know hundreds of evangelicals who could not wait to vote for Romney and against Obama.

Voter turnout was very high in R areas and very low in D areas. The numbers make no sense.

Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel.

- - - - - - -
One other point, Romney would have done just as much to persecute Christians since he hates Evangelicals just as much (been there done that).

And the Gospel will not be thwarted, just as it wasn’t during the early church and the Roman persecutions.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD, NOT MAN.

Romney did not shore up his base. But it was more than evangelicals because if they stayed home 4 years ago than who stayed home this time?

Vote totals:

2008:

OBama 69,297,997
McCain: 59,597,520

2012

Obama: 54,773,837
Romney 53,716,689

Looks like a whole lot of voters stayed home.

2 Tim 2:3-4 -

3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

I refuse to compromise my CHRISTIAN FAITH and vote for Romney. I am beholden to my Commanding Officer - Jesus Christ alone.

How was Romney who is also not a Christian the to hold up Christian values?

I don’t think that an evangelical should feel that this loss was upon his shoulders. The GOP was not courting conservative votes in this election. They were courting independents with a left center policy, not knowing that there was already a candidate running with a far left policy that everyone already knew about.

We as a nation got what we deserve. The GOP just happened to really get what they deserved. I wonder whose “turn” it is next time.

The GOP-e thinks Evangelicals are dumb hicks, but they surely can’t win when even a fraction of that base stays home. Perhaps they should reconsider making Evangelicals sit at the back of the bus and then expecting them to show up at the polls.

Yes, Rove, Krauthammer and Barone, I mean you.

I don’t believe any of the reasons we are being fed. I believe Romney won the election. Votes were electronically transferred to Obama. 2008 was a coup.

The problem is that most Christians find the fundamental evil of the left/liberals very attractive.Fundamentally the left is about the redistributionist welfare state. What is the sins of envy, jealousy, covetousness, theft and state idolatry is seen as love, light, charity and goodness. Until we quit focusing on peripherals like abortion and marriage and address what the Dems are really about we will lose the Christian vote. Or not get a large enough share. They say sure abortion is bad but so is not taking away the golden talents from the man who has five and giving them to those who have fewer.
It is not a trade off. We’ll accept abortion because they are giants of charity and love. NO! The Dems are both baby killers and raging with costing other people’s wealth. The Dems are for same-sex marriage and idolaters of the state. If people should look to the government to meet their needs and solve their problems, then they worship government as god.
There is no worse offender than the Catholic bishops. They are very big proponents of the envy/jealousy/covetous/theft state. They provide enormous support and votes for Dems while the so forcefully take a stand against abortion.
The Dems are not sin plus virtue but evil compounded by evil.

The only faint silver lining in this whole fiasco is that RINOism, fake conservatism, was repudiated. Would that the GOP could learn.

Well, probably there is no reason the marriage of various factions in the GOP to keep going. Perhaps, with many small parties, one of them can take the Democrats in 2052.

Why not simply blame the 50+% who are either too ignorant, too self-serving, too racist, too stupid, too willing to feed at the public trough regardless of consequences, or too imbued with the pep-rally mentality (go team go!) to realize they have crapped in Liberty's messkit, and suppertime is coming.

Aside from the fraudsters, they are the reason Obama won the first time, they are the reason last night came out the way it did, and will be the first to wail and demand other people pay for their stupidity.

Blaming anyone else is ridiculous, unless you thing the circular firing squad needs to be called out yet again to further fractionate the Conservatives who endure.
