The polls are open on the east coast!!
From this morning's election day prayer thread:
"Heavenly Father may you forgive this nation and its people for the many awful sins that we have commited against you. We do not deserve the wonderful ways we have been blessed and please forgive us for our indifference, neglect and complacency towards you. May you forgive us who are members of your Church who have neglected our calling and commitment to you to be effective witnesses and stewards of the many blessings you have generously bestowed upon us. Many of us have cried out to you for the past few years as never before and we humbly beseech you to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation. First we pray that you quicken your Church by your spirit and lead us to unity to stand against the onslaught of darkness upon us. May you smash every crooked deed as evil men and women try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to our people who do not know you and to the nations of the world.
May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. May you make every policy they make fail and may you turn the hearts of the multitudes against them. May you thwart every evil deed they try to divide this nation with. May you bring their own mischief upon them ten fold. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors and enemies of the Constitution by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice. However we also pray that through this that you open their eyes to the truth and in your mercy that you bring these people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to serve as a witness to many. May you also use this to bring revival across our nation and a restoration of a culture that glorifies You. We also pray for those just leaders in our government who are struggling against the lawless. We pray for your protection and that you embolden them to do what is right to triumph in the election and in the arena of ideas. May you also continue to open the hearts and minds of the American people to the the truth and draw them towards yourself to be renewed in repentance and spiritual rebirth.
And this we humbly ask in Jesus name. AMEN!"
My mom and I will be heading out shortly to vote for Romney/Ryan and the rest of the Republican ticket here in NC. I’m so pumped! Lets get rid of this Marxist!
Going to vote in NC right now
LONG line here in Georgia, west of ATL, at 7 am. Maybe 3 city blocks.
Yep, the gremlins seem to hit at 10 these days so I logged on early to catch up on things. Fingers and toes crossed that today is worth getting up for but not counting on it.
Wife voting at 0700, Pinellas Co, FL. Sent me a text @ 0645; huge line of people standing in a light rain, nowhere to park.

From my little corner of the world.
I was in line at 5:45AM EST. I was #6 in line. All working men ahead of me.
In ‘08, I arrived at the same time and was probably #20 or so in line. I was surrounded by young people, many talking about never having voted before. Many in house clothes, which is to say not going to work.
When the polls opened at 6:00 this morning, there were 40-50 working Americans in line patiently waiting to vote. The crowd was bigger than 2000 and 2004, but they were the real face of the precinct; working men and woman. By the time I voted and left, there were 100 or more in line. All dressed for work.
Based on my narrow view of things from the line I stand in to vote every election, Republicans are turning out big time.

Every year, the guy running the precinct comes out and does the “Hear ye, hear ye. The polls are now open.” It’s really worth getting up for and standing in the cold. For me, it is an affirmation of my freedom. Gives me chills every time I hear it.
Just returned from voting. Some local newsgal, pollster, whatever asked me as I came out “ Are you here to vote?” I said ‘Duh, I’ve waited four years for this moment.’ “May I ask who you voted for?” ‘Sure. Romney.’ “ Was that because you are racist as some people are saying for motivation?” I said ‘ Not at all. I hate his white half too.’ The look on her face was worth the whole episode.
No one in line in my Red Hampshire ‘hood this morning...eighteen degrees. Polls open at eight...
Father in law in Repub precinct in Va Beach, VA, always there right around when poll opens usually is #1-10 when he votes. This morning he texted me and he was #300! At least a good sign from his place!
Don’t forget to wish Lazmataz Happy Birthday... (he wants a New President and a Pony)
TT
Wow, that's really cool.
LOL! Priceless!!
Chrissy Matthews? Just askin’
Ledyard, CT. Poll doors open at 0600 but made the voters stand out in the 24 degrees for 20 minutes before any voters actually taken in to vote.
Got to my polling place in central PA at 0630, and by the time the doors opened at 7 there were already ~25 in line, with more cars pulling in every minute or two.
Great chatter with several others who got there shortly after me, with the concensus being we were all more eager to cast today's votes than any time since Reagan !
When the election official asked for my name, I took my time getting the wallet out, while stating in a clear full voice that "I'm (tomkat) and I'm proud to show my eligibility to vote for President Romney".
It's gonna be a long day's wait, but by tonight we'll have served a tsunami-sized eviction notice on the most hideous presidential mistake this country's ever made !
Here's to hoping there's something to this idea and here's to an early end of the night...
Keeping up to date with the latest on conservative tweets and those of Dick Morris and Sean Hannity. While here in FR!
