New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor, based in Chicago, tells TheBlaze that the Obama campaign may be planning to preemptively announce victory in the presidential election based on early voting numbers in an attempt to demoralize Mitt Romney supporters.
Citing a very solid source in Chicago, Thor says the Obama campaign is looking to make it appear to voters that they have this thing sewed up and are less than 24 hours to victory, according to his source.
Meanwhile, team Obama will also urge voters to get out and vote so they can say they were part of the important 2012 election that resulted in a second term for Obama.
While Thor cant reveal his source, he told TheBlaze multiple times that the source is very reliable.
The flip side of the coin, the author explained, is that the Obama campaign is counting on the mainstream media to drive home their narrative should they implement this strategy.
They are so invested in Obama, Thor said of the media. I dont see how any truth loving person could look to the mainstream media ever again. This election should be the final nail in the coffin with the mainstream media.
Why would the campaign resort to such a Chicago-style political tactic? According to Thor, its because their support is diminished across the board and they know theyre in trouble.
Their support is down, he told TheBlaze. All the polling has been the exact same thing. They have been oversampling Democrats, and they are not getting the 2008 levels of voting.
Whether or not the Obama campaign will set this plan into motion remains to be seen. As Thor points out, the plot could have been brought up but never considered seriously by the top officials in the campaign. If it is being considered though, the author hopes that all the attention forces the Obama camp to ditch the effort.
They’re NOT that stupid... unless the election has been fixed in advance.
They tried that in 2004. Remember that skewed exit polls showed Kerry trouncing Bush all day long.
I was working in the Bush campaign at the time, and I can assure you that nobody was demoralized. I’ve never seen such scrambling in my life, getting out the vote in Republican precincts till 6:59 p.m.
And a wonderful victory party a few hours later.
Disinformation didn’t work then, won’t work now.
There is a shocker.
Let’s pretend this was the Romney campaign that said this. anyone want to guess how the MSM would cover it?
Dems already know they lost, demoralizing GOP voters is their last chance..the Obama mansion in Hawaii is already purchased..all they have left is the small hope that if enough people think Obama won they won’t bother voting..WONT WORK THIS TIME WE ARE VOTING..I am getting my butt up early tomorrow to vote for Romney, here in liberal Los Angeles, if I can go vote in a state where Obama will win, EVERYONE will vote..and we will WIN!
They declared Florida for Gore before the panhandle polls closed. IMHO, that was no mistake, but rather a calculated move by the MSM to help Gore.
Don’t be surprised if the MSM starts to run with the story “Obama declares victory” long before the polls close. Technically, the MSM won’t be declaring a winner, they’ll just be covering what Obama says. But, they’ll cover it in a way that makes it sound like a fact.
here’s hoping they do it- and it has the reverse effect...people in Mich/Minn/Wisconsin who were on the fence about voting for ayatollah obama saying “well he already won so there’s no need for me to vote for him”!!!
BACKFIRE.
Republicans will walk over shards of glass and burning coals to vote against Obama.
Democrats are lazy asses looking for an excuse to stay inside watching daytime TV.
Telling their loser voting base the election is over = disaster for their turnout.
Hells bells, they have already started doing this. Just ignore all the BS and go out and vote all ya like!
Vamps are not so easy to nail in.

Won’t work. 10 years ago maybe. Not today. Chic Fil A gave 2 days notice and there were lines all day. Looooong lines. I know it’s been said before but all you need to think is 2010, Scott Walker, Chic Fil A.
Old Trick, call Fla for O before polls close in Ohio and Panhandle. Fool me once...
Keeping the broken glass voters this year would be like trying to take a rabbit away from a pack of hungry wolves. They could try, but it would just be a waste of their few remaining ad dollars, which they’re gonna need for the cleanup.
I've got to agree with this. It might even lose them a couple western states.
Don’t put this past them. They will do this especially if it’s looking like they won’t win early on.
It’s important to get out the word to those in the western time zones NOT to listen to this bullcrap and get out there and vote!!
If the Obama Campaign tries this, and the MSM goes along but it doesn’t work, one of the first acts of the Romney Administration should be to turn the MSMs precious West Wing pressroom back into an indoor swimming pool and let them realize their fear of being moved over to the Old Exec Office Building.
