They tried that in 2004. Remember that skewed exit polls showed Kerry trouncing Bush all day long.
I was working in the Bush campaign at the time, and I can assure you that nobody was demoralized. I’ve never seen such scrambling in my life, getting out the vote in Republican precincts till 6:59 p.m.
And a wonderful victory party a few hours later.
Disinformation didn’t work then, won’t work now.
Speaking of John F’n Kerry -
A Madison TV station estimated the crowd at the Obama event today at 16,000 two hours ago. Then an hour ago, Madison Police stated it was 16,000. A short time ago, Capitol Police say no more than 10,000 for Obama. (There were 10k tickets available and OFA is still trying to get people into the event)
In 2004, four days before the election, Kerry drew a crowd estimated at 80,000: http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/1029-03.htm
Anyone see a trend here?
In the year of 2000 AD the media called the election and FL for Gore even though the polls were still open here.
I guaranteee the left and yes the media which are the same will certainly try and call it for obama thus trying to make republicans soar losers
REMEMBER THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL BE PLACING JUDGES
They tried that in 2004. Remember that skewed exit polls showed Kerry trouncing Bush all day long.
And ever since, libs have been accusing Bush of stealing the election because the exit polls showed Mr. “Do You Know I’m A War Hero” Kerry winning. If I recall, even Bush thought he lost because of the exit polls.
What I remember most often is Dan BLather’s brazen attempt to steal Florida for the rats in 2000 by calling the state for Gore while the polls were still open in the mostly Republican panhandle. Amazingly, even after this, some people would still claim there was no media bias.
It was very obvious in 2000 that CBS was frantically looking for any reason to call a state for the rats, sometimes even doing so while the screen showed a large lead for Bush but states like South Carolina that were guaranteed to go for Bush would not be called until hours past the time that they would have been called if they had voted for the rats.
