Mitt Romney still earns 50% support in Virginia just before Election Day.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Virginia Voters shows Romney with 50% of the vote to President Obamas 48%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and another one percent (1%) is undecided.
another thread has it 49/48
More importantly (like ever other poll this weekend), Indies are breaking hard for Gov Romney.
+21 w Indies!
That’s the national race... This is VA.
The Indies seem to be watching the Sandy debacle closer than people thought.. They didn’t have the attention span to follow Benghazi, but once Staten Island turned into the 9th ward, Indies started breaking to Romney in every poll.

I think the national numbers are 49/48.
50/48 is VA only.
But I could be wrong.
I missed that, lol.
Yes, I had Va as a Romney state
As the title says, this is VIRGINIA.
You are right, I totally missed that “Va” in the title. heh
I have seen a few sources saying O was up in Va. Nope! Come back to Earth now. :)
This morning, I heard Scott say that VA. was the state to watch as to the direction of the race.
If PA & OH are called for Romney right after the polls close, I’ll pop the corks.
52-47-1 - Romney is going to pick up two to three points in Virginia and nation-wide relative to the final number as polls traditionally understate Republican strength.
47% baby! That’ll stick in some folks’ throats. He he he...
2 percent? That’s IT? Disgraceful if true.
Last night’s rockin’ Romney Rally in Newport News was great! Hard to tell how many were packed in and outside of the Smithfield hangar at Newport News-Williamsburg Airport, but officials were expecting more than 5,000. I’m quite sure that number was well-surpassed in temps dipping into the 30s.
Got in the gate at about 6 p.m. and took my place about 30 ft. off the left side of the podium. Gov. Romney’s plane, due in NN at 8 p.m. was delayed leaving Philly for about 90 minutes, but the RR folks provided pizza and bottled water, and we had giant-screen views of the Steeler-NYG game, interspersed with Romney ads over commercial breaks.
Va. Sen. Tommy Norment opened the evening with remarks, followed by Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and former (and hopefully future) Sen. George Allen. From the speakers to the crowd, everyone’s level of energy was ramped WAYYYYY up!
Mitt’s plane touched down at NN-W IAP at about 9:25. Va. Gov. Bob McDonnell revved the gathering up further with about five minutes of remarks before introducing Gov. Romney. Though very tired from a long day of campaigning, Mitt strode up the ramp, brimming with confidence, and rolled out an energetic speech, drawing the familiar stark comparisons between himself and Obama. The crowd responded wildly with every main point.
A fireworks show out near the flightline punctuated the end of a great evening.
As far as Virginia is concerned, the energy is there, folks. We’re going to win here, so long as we get the turnout we know we can muster.
I’ll follow up with pics later today in a vanity post.
Landslide....
Virginia is the third block, along with Florida and NC in the “3” part of the “3-2-1” strategy for Romney. He has Indiana in the bag as half of the “2” key states in the Midwest that went for Obama in ‘08. If Ohio, the other state that fell for Obama in ‘08, falls to Romney, he is elected the 45th POTUS when he carries any additional swing state. I believe it will be Wisconsin followed by others.
Amen! Long live the commonwealth.
