Totally speechless.

The same bunch of politicians that made hay of Katrina, but it is all Bush's fault.

Well, for years now, at FR, we have seen that the Red Cross isn’t always what they appear to be...

I have a recollection of veterans saying the Salvation Army was far more attentive to their needs than the Red Cross. Who is in charge there now?

***called the Red Cross an “absolute disgrace” and even urged the public to cease giving them contributions. ***

Maybe he remembers what the Red Cross did in WWII to cause lots of people to loose faith in them.

Don’t like Ted Cross either, but good grief, what does this guy expect? This is a major catastrophe and no one, not even the government, can get aid to people instantaneously. It’s going to take time.

Its because donations to the red cross go into a fund that helps all sorts of places. Now that he has a disaster in his little world he wants all funds to go directly to his mob controlled accounts.

I watched one crying New Yorker going “ this kind of thing is supposed to happen in Missouri or Florida...sob sob....NOT HERE!”

That was despicable. If W was still the President, I’m sure the Red Cross would not have been the target of that man’s blame.

If he really wants to hit the blame target with his finger, he should get closer to a mirror.

James Molinaro, who called the Red Cross an “absolute disgrace”

He's actually right, you know.

After 9/11/01 I headed an effort that brought in thousands of $$ to help. I contacted the Red Cross to make sure our money would benefit New York - and learned that the dollar you give the Red Cross after such a disaster might just as easily go to giving a condom to some yahoo in Africa.

They take in all the money people donate and they spend it in accordance with their own set of (leftist) priorities.

We ended up giving our $$ to an organization that directly helped the New York fire and police departments.

Years ago, I was at the edge of a pretty good flood and got to see the Red Cross in “action.”

I’ll never give those clowns a penny again.

Give your money to a good church where it’ll go to good charity use.

actually the red cross has a host of money direction issues.

you never know to where the money goes.

remember the 9/11 money? katrina money? other relief money?

they come in, photo op with their red cross vests, and move on.

I heard that Obama blew up the dikes to kill white people. Turnabout is fair play.

Hello! Wasn’t Mitt just excoriated by the MSM for collecting goods - and NOT sending the money to the Red Cross??!!!

I would like to see the Red Cross’s response. This storm did a lot of damage over a large area and impacted roads and fuel supplies. Maybe there was too much happening for the Red Cross to be able to react as soon as they wanted. I wonder if anyone in the Government contacted the Red Cross beforehand and asked them if they could quickly get set up, and what the Government could do to assist them?

Great to hear that there are still strong outspoken Conservatives in New York like James Molinaro.

About 11 years ago the Red Cross in San Diego received a lot of donations to help local fire victims. The San Diego chapter of the Red Cross spent the money on a new phone system and expensive office furniture. They are a truly disgusting organization with a long history of corruption. I would never give them one dime.

The Red Cross has been a scam for decades, ask any WWII vet in the pacific (if you can find any left) about them... Yep in a war zone during war, they charged the GI’s for their cup of Joe...

Salvation Army always gets most to those in need.

I am not saying the Red Cross does no good works, but they are slimy. For example they were allowed by J&J who holds the trademark on the red cross in the US to use it for their organization in an agreement made long ago, now Red Cross is being sued by J&J because they are producing products with the logo on them under licensing agreements and selling them.

They are SLIMY.. always have been, always will be.

Obviously yes, they have helped millions over the years, but they are not fully focussed on that, and a lot of money “disappears” on its way to those they do help.

To clarify, I personally do not choose Red Cross (American or otherwise) as my chosen charity designations.

But...... that is beside the point of posting this article.

Prior to IKE some of us in Texas had generators, extra food, water, GASOLINE, etc.

The storm hit. The next day we were out with chain saws cutting away the downed trees and cleaning up. Everybody pitched in and within days things were back to running pretty smoothly.

The federal government? FEMA? The Red Cross? Never saw them. Never needed them.
