About 11 years ago the Red Cross in San Diego received a lot of donations to help local fire victims. The San Diego chapter of the Red Cross spent the money on a new phone system and expensive office furniture. They are a truly disgusting organization with a long history of corruption. I would never give them one dime.
If you want your money spent properly do the following:
1. Give to your “local church.”
2. Give to the Salvation Army.
3. If you are able, give needed supplies etc. directly to those in need.
Stay the hell away from the Red Cross.
