Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said tonight that his sources tell him that Obama was one of the people in the room watching the Benghazi attack go down and both he and Col. David Hunt agree it would have taken an order by the president to intervene.
Further, Col. Hunt said that we were only 20 min away by jet and a couple of hours away by AC-130 gunships and special forces, and the decision not to intervene had to be political.

Obama and his enablers have some, and probably enough to control, high ranking military military persons in their pockets. I’m thinking of the likes of Powell and his aide, Dempsey, and that butcher of Belgrade Clarke and the judges at the court martial of Col. Lakin. This is a disturbing reality and something that has to be rectified. I don’t expect any of these military persons to do anything to remove Obama. If something did occur Boehner would be in line but as for me Boehner does not deserve to be POTUSA or would do any good needed for the Nation as to changing the outlook.
The Taliban did not come about as a force for fighting the Soviets, but much later, in the aftermath of the war, in much the same way as the mafia takes over urban areas where crime has become so rampant that people look to anyone to restore some form of order. The mafia "helps" by providing locals with desirable skills or assets a number which they can call if they need help. Woe to anyone who calls it. They will get help but it comes with an everlasting obligation to pay protection money, or to provide services illegally. In the case of the Taliban, they appeared in the form of "students" and "youths" led by old Mullah Omar in the outlying regions during the period the new post-Soviet government, having just ousted the last Soviet puppet, was trying to get on its feet in Kabul. (Its defense minister was Shah Ahmed Massood- and Massood was the guy to whom our aid, stingers, and such had flowed. He was the guy al Qaeda, by then hosted by the Taliban, had assassinated on Sept 9, 2011.) Of course what the Taliban were really doing was winning the hearts of locals by toppling the weaker warlords and taking their territory and business for themselves, developing a monopoly on opium.
The new government had a pretty good grip on Kabul but was wobbly because of the presence of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who was the apparent favorite of the pro-Pakistan folks in the state dept as a "stronger horse" than Massood. But Pakistan was determined to destabilize the new government further out of fear it might have relations with India. Pakistan discovered the Taliban as they were forming and noted they were initially very popular in areas where there was as yet no law enforcement or army, and chose to provide them with vehicles, funds and weapons, using them to gain control of Afghanistan's roads, such as they were.
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar as we know later joined up with al Qaeda. Now, al Qaeda had been around since 1988, older than the taliban, but in its early stages was based in Pakistan, Sudan and finally in 1996 Afghanistan. It formed out of MAK, Azzam's organization, after OBL got in a spat with Azzam and Azzam turned up dead.

Guys, I t’s pretty clear we have the full story now. Barack Obama is guilty of lying to the public following the attack and he also made the decesion not to send in reinforcements. As reprehensible as this is, what exactly is he guilty of? One day 50 years from now it may come out that people thought Obama was an ass and indecisive uncer crunch time but, again how is this a big crime? Personally this is the exact type of leadership I would expect from Obama. Perhaps the Congress will drag some more details out of the White House in time but, the bottom line is this is in the voters hand. If they elect an incompetent, then that’s it....as painful as that sounds.
It fits with “2016: Obama’s America” perfectly.

The White House Situation Room has a list of what's called Essential Elements of Friendly Information. That's the military's acronym for it, but they would have a similar thing, a critical information list. Certain things go right to the person that's standing next to the president, both military and civilian leadership. So he would have known within minutes or it's supposed to be informed within minutes because an ambassador is a four-star equivalent, very high, very important person, you know, represents the president and essentially is the president's -- you know, is the surrogate of the president in that country. So the White House cannot deny that the president knew immediately.
Don't forget Putin in this mix. Russia is as much a backer of Assad as is Iran. I found it strange at best when Romney ripped Obama over Putin/Russia, in the last debate. I think so many invitations got sent to out for this planned rumble in Benghazi, that only we the American people were shocked. I think there was the expectation for demonstrations all over the Muslim world once the promotions and apologies began over a known commodity called 'an offensive video'.
I read early on that documents were taken, like 'oil contracts', and God only knows what else. Until we have the laundry list of what is now missing there is no way to know who benefited the most. We all know that four Americans became sacrificial lambs, we just do not know yet for what price.
