At what point does this become a story beyond Fox News?
Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later was denied by U.S. officials who also told the CIA operators twice to stand down rather than help the ambassadors team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11. ....

....What. in the hell. was going on?
Woodss father, Charles Woods, alluded to all this in his interview with Glenn Beck. This story puts more meat on the bone.
It seems like an extraordinarily important story to me. Is it just me??

NBC, CBS, CNN et al have been told to stand down by the Ministry of Praise and Propaganda. They are waiting for their marching orders on how to spin this to the benefit of the lawless one.

Funny you should observe that......the RinoCracy is pushing this out right here...this am

Hoping, I’m sure, this will keep anyone in DC from having to public ally demonstrate a backbone and balls....
Tin foil hat time. Would Petraeus really tell agents only a mile away from the consulate that they couldn’t help Stevens and the SEAL’s? What if this entire story is false and was created by say, MSNBC (or someone else) as bait to make Romney jump on it and make Foxnews look like clowns? After the bait is taken, it’s revealed the story is a hoax (without MSNBC admitting it was them who created the story)and Romney and Foxnews are totally humiliated only 9 days from the election.
“The only way people will hear about it is if conservative organizations buy time on TV and broadcast the info in short, info-packed, 30-second clips. (Libs have an attention span as long as a gnat.) Put out a few clips of the interview of Tyrone Woods father by Megyn Kelly.”
I agree with the sentiment and like the idea, but you have to consider that the leftmedia probably won’t run the ads. That’s why Randall Terry ran for President; so the leftmedia couldn’t refuse to show the (anti-abortion) ads they wanted to pay for and run.
What LAZY journalists we have if WE have to do their work for them and they STILL won’t write about their little man-child President!!
It’s not laziness. Look how well they dug things up on Palin. And if Romney is elected? Woo-hoo! They will be reporting everything from when he takes his morning dump to when he falls asleep at night. No scandal will be too small for them to investigate, including jaywalking. The media will make it absolute hell for Romney.
The author of that story will be fired.
If Bush were president, the interview with the father of the murdered soldier would be all over the news, on the front page of every paper for weeks.
The mainstream media is doing this deliberately, intentionally, with full knowledge and awareness of what they are doing, and the full extent of the effect of their actions. It is not an oversight. It is not an error in judgement.
I would say the media would cover it if Romney mentioned it, but they would only slap him down with the canned answer and say “for shame exploiting this tragedy — jumping the gun ahead of the facts!” So I do not know who else could end-run the media firewall.
I think it is going to take a local media person to ask the hard questions and pin the president down when he talks about “we will hunt them down” instead of narrating who knew what, when, who turned down requests for extra security prior to 9/11, who turned down the requests for help in real-time, and why didn’t we respond effectivley in real time. Someone will have to ask: “Did you underestimate the amount of violent turmoil you had helped unleash with the Arab Spring? If so, who is to blame for the failed intelligence? If not, why was insufficient security provided for our Ambassador?”
Actually, someone needs to write down a list of about 20 questions, in logical order, and walk him through them until he gets up and walks off, and catch that on camera.
Beyond that, protests at his appearances would help, if phrased pointedly (”Who was in charge in DC while our embassy was under attack? Where were you when our nation was under attack? What happens in Benghazi stays in Vegas.”)

Sent to everyone on my e-mail list. My family is so wrapped up in their own lives. They don’t pay attention. I’ll be they have no idea what this is all about. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Thank goodness somebody at CBS is asking some questions. I wonder how long he has a job?
Gaffer wrote: It becomes a story beyond when the all-glorious MSM finally reconciles to themselves the fact that Obama is going to lose and they must somehow begin to rehabilitate their credibility.”
I agree with Rush when he says that liberals will throw Obama under the bus to save liberalism. When it becomes clear that he will lose, liberals will blame Obama personally and say it is his fault, not any deficiency in liberalism...
That would be H Clinton during her Presidential bid against Obama in 2016 (the Constitutional term limit will be abolished by that time).
R&R will never say anything, even if somehow by some fluke/miracle they beat the O - perhaps some General on his death bed, like Ham, but that will be decades in the future. Presupposing that someone actually prints it. Don't hold your breath.
Someone mentioned yesterday that news outlets do not like to cite other news outlets as sources for a report. They are too competitive to do that. They want you to believe that they have their own top secret highly placed sources. I hope they are pumping those sources and hoping to one up Fox on something new.
News outlets also do not like to waste headline space on a good story by releasing it on Friday night or Sat. They get more bang for the buck releasing it on Sun. or Mon.
Let’s wait and see if more about this pops up tomorrow or early next week. There’s still plenty of time for it to make an impact.
Fox News is running a “special’ report on this on Sat and Sunday. Unfortunately the times are somewhat suspect for what should be a high profile news item if one wishes it be watched by more than two or three people tired of the football games.
I predict it will not be covered on any of the MSN sunday “news” panels, 60 minutes, 20-20, Frontline, or even the food channel.
It’s not going to become a story beyond FOX until another news outlet is able to independently verify the info.
No one is going to use FOX as their source.
Jennifer Griffin developed sources with first-hand knowledge, apparently in Benghazi. She says they’re rock-solid, and she will protect them. I have no doubt that her superiors at FOX also know who they are, confidentially. That’s how it is done.
Huge kudos to her.
Any other outlet that runs this story needs to be as sure of the facts as she apparently is. That’s how it is done right. No, they are not happy about being scooped, especially by FOX.
Consider, too, that this info, valid as it may be, may have been leaked to FOX. That’s how major scandals often start. Somebody wanted the truth out there.
Rememeber Deep Throat?
1972.
Before the Presidential election. And the perps got re-elected.
Rolled out then, not over days, but over two years. Plus some.
This stuff takes time.
On Yahoo News, it is not anywhere near the top link neither is it on the front page.
However, it was their TOP read story. Seems the American people who are aware are actively rebelling against the press on this story.
The Dems may survive this, and the MSM may think it has won in their quest to control the media narrative and protect Dems and Obama. But they will be damaged more than ever. At some point they will all disappear just like Newsweek, and they will blame everyone but themselves, just like Dems do.
