The polls, commissioned by USAction and our partner Project New America, were conducted by Grove Insight.

These polls are the latest in a series of battleground state polls released this week. Our other polls found Obama ahead 46 to 43 percent in Colorado; 47 to 45 percent in Florida; 46 to 44 percent in Ohio and 48 to 45 percent in New Hampshire.

There’s a reason you’ve never heard of it :)

They probably have Obama up in Oklahoma and Texas, too.

Rubbish. Romney has North Carolina and Florida in the bag, and will most likely win Ohio and NH. Rasmussen and Gallup are 100 times more credible than whomever this racket is.

Sorry, but Obama is not acting like an incumbent President that is winning.

According to Wikipedia, USAction was founded in 1999 as a progressive coalition of 22 groups dedicated to “social justice”, in other words, a Communist outfit trying to get their fellow traveler re-elected

Not even the Obama campaign will believe this one. They’ve pulled out of the state. This one has to be the most delusional poll yet this election year.

It’s a bullshit poll. I live in NC; not a chance it’s going with The Kenyan again. Period.

Awfully low percentages for Obama.

Looks like one of those “best case scenario” polls which may accurately state your preferred candidate’s support but grossly understate that of the opponent. Numbers like 47%, 46%, etc. for an incumbent at this stage of the race are pitiful.

There’s a reason we have never heard of this polling outfit.

Isn’t NC where all those 112 yr olds voted a few days ago and where dem voters are being illegally bussed in? If they think they will win by fraud have to have pols to back it up.

There’s a wikipedia entry about this outfit:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USAction

“USAction, founded in 1999, is a 501(c)(4) “progressive issue coalition” federation of 22 state affiliates, involved in organizing for good jobs, healthcare reform, ending all wars, responsible budgets, rebuilding infrastructure, challenging politicians who oppose progressive healthcare reforms, and conducting voter registration drives.[1]”

You know who this is good news for? Nate Silver.

By tonight he’ll decide to include these polls in his “538 model” and heavily weight them. Obama will go from a 73% favorite to 94% favorite by tomorrow.

This should tell us everything we need to know about this poll. From the “About Us” link on their website:

http://usaction.org/about-us/

USAction builds power by uniting people locally and nationally, on-the-ground and online, to win a more just and progressive America.

From there they talk about their support for distribution, Obamacare, and basically getting rid of our military.

There is absolutely nothing to see here.

About what I figured. The percentages for Obama might very well be about accurate - for example he probably will get the 46% they show him getting in Florida on election night. The poll correctly states his support while grossly understating the amount Romney is going to end up with.

And here’s a bit about the ExecDirector of the group:

“Jeff Blum’s experience in grassroots organizing is extensive....worked for the Peoples’ Coalition for Peace and Justice, Massachusetts Fair Share, People for the American Way...and was Transportation Policy Director for Citizen Action”

Any affiliation with the People for the American Way ought to be enough to raise a major red flag about the organization’s spin and the poll number, IMHO.
