Just WHY don’t Republicans just SHUT UP on these NON-issues. This is peanuts and McLame just hacks me off. Also Akin - let it DROP. That’s all the left has to hang their hats on.
Mourdock and Akin should NOT ever get into those stupid conversations, but the lefties set them up sometimes.
McCain - just back Mourdock - we NEED every vote and every Senate seat we can get, you knucklehead.
Not content to only screw up his own presidential run giving us Obama the first time, he’s now evidently determined to deliver Obama a two-fer.
I don’t have anything good to say so...
John McCain the certified biggest A**hole in U.S. Senate!
This is the Biblical position of anyone who genuinely believes in the actual sovereignty of Almighty God. It is the biblical Christian confession that there are no true accidents under God's sovereign government.
"McCain said that if he apologizes and says he misspoke and he was wrong and he asks the people to forgive him,..
McCain's position is:
1) blasphemy, and persecution of someone for his Christian confession
2) He is the one who needs to seek forgivenes, not from men, but God.
3) It is an indirect denial of religious liberty.
JMJ
He rarely knows when to STHU.
WRONG! Do you always cover for Satan? What part of 'evil in the world' don't you get?
I agreed. God is the giver of life.
Once again: When asked about rape-and-abortion, say: “What crime has the unborn baby committed?” And nothing else.
Satan does wickedly, but he is a creature who owes his continued existence, as does the whole universe to God. He is not an independent force.
Historic Christianity rejects Zoroastrian dualism of a good god/force and an evil demiurge who are equal in power. It reduces God to a creature. God's power is transcendent, it is above the universe and sovereign over it, divine not creaturely. God is able to rule evil in such away that wicked men act responsibly, also Satan. Yet God accomplishes his holy purpose in judgment.
The prime example of this is the Cross of Christ: Acts 2:23; Acts 4:27,28.
Rape is evil. The conception and birth of a child, who committed no crime, is not.

As cross-the-aisle-dressing translegistite, McCain’s stock goes up when the ‘rats run the Senate. He doesn’t WANT a GOP majority.
This isn’t surprising. McCain would rather see a democrat win than a conservative who actually took on one of the dinosaurs of RINO’s and beat him. Mourdock should expect no support (and active damage) from the McCain/Graham wing of the Senate.
It is striking in this politically correct world, that any vile opinion may be stated, including the Democrats, approval of partial birth abortion,(effectively at their convention) or that of any non-christian religion, particularly Islam, and it is not to be criticized.
But any statement of what sounds like, even remotely, Christian belief is reviled, and called to be retracted with an apology (which is what McCain does).
It tells you more about what the real place of a Christian is in our society and in the republican party a useful tool for profit or election but not to be taken seriously. North America has come along way from the 13 colonies, most of whose founders came to North America for religious freedom, as Christians.

Good, ole’ Juan. I’d expect nothing less from him. Mourdouck has nothing to be sorry for. His meaning is that a child conceived of rape is still made in the image of God like a child born between a loving couple in marriage.
Other than that, I prefer they just keep their mouths shut, on matters that are none of their business.
McCain needs a GAG order put on him.
I’m in agreement that Christians have come under politically correct attack, and I am of Christian heritage, though I am not religious. For someone like me, who doesn’t really understand or feel the whole visceral abortion thing, I want to take a reasonable pro-life stand: leave it to the states, and let those most affected, the women, vote on it. I go with the flow, until I am confronted with what inspires a visceral reaction in myself: the seemingly vile position of outlawing abortion even in cases of rape and incest. For me, and for NEAR 80% OF VOTERS, this is a literally sickening position. Don’t do that any more... we’ve already lost several senate seats in 2010 because of it! (Angle NV, Buck CO, Joe Miller* Alaska, O’Donnell DE [abortion extremism just one factor for O’Donnell versus a decisive factor in the other cases], and this time we have Akin and Mourdach. We possibly could have had 60 senate seats come 2013 if it wasn’t for the rape / incest position.)
Neal Boortz who is an atheist went off on this and one would expect the democrats who also don’t believe in God to do so as well. Fortunately Boortz is retiring and Michael Cane is scheduled to be his replacement.
As far as McCain goes well I don’t watch CNN in fact don’t watch free (or any) tv since the major nets moved their transmission location. Net and am/fm radio are my sources.
1) Roe vs. Wade isn't going to be overturned anytime soon.
2) Pregnancies from rape and incest probably account for
what? maybe 0.01% of all abortions?
Even looking at it from a Christian standpoint, while I think abortion is wrong, evil, etc. - there are other things going on that are wrong and evil that we DO have the hope of changing in the near future - IF conservatives can get elected.
No it’s not. God does not will that rape happen. God does not will that sin happen.
Rape is sin. God does not will it or intend it. God permits evil men and women to do evil things. God intends and wills that they do good.
It’s theology like yours that destroys the Christian witness.
Period.
