A new undercover video from James O’Keefe and Project Veritas shows Pat Moran, son of longtime incumbent congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) and field director for his father’s re-election campaign, instructing a supporter in how to use fraudulent documents to cast a hundred illegal votes:
Note that Project Veritas prominently includes the unedited raw footage of this encounter, to counter the usual whines about false editing. There’s not much question about what happens here. An undercover operative posing as a very enthusiastic supporter says he’s got a hundred names of people who probably aren’t going to vote, and he wants to cast their ballots for them.
Moran is “initially lukewarm about the idea of voting on others’ behalf,” as narrator O’Keefe puts it, suggesting that a legitimate “get out the vote” effort would be a better investment of effort… but he’s quite willing to give some helpful advice for evading the flimsy existing voter identification procedures. He’s even got tips for making sure that the prospective targets for ballot theft are truly “inactive” voters, rather than people who already voted early. It’s obviously a subject he’s given some thought to. And by the end of the conversation, he’s a lot less “lukewarm” about the idea. In fact, he thinks it’s pretty funny.
Time for some more New York Times editorials about how vote fraud never happens, better voter identification is unnecessary, and anyone who cares about protecting the integrity of our electoral system is just a racist who wants to suppress the minority vote!
Project Veritas has already gotten a high-ranking Obama campaign employee fired for her willingness to engage in vote fraud. Is Jim Moran going to fire his son now?
Our “elections” are a joke. We are now a true banana republic.
“Just answering questions”? You don’t just answer those kinds of questions, especially when you’re a campaign manager. You say get the hell out of here with that crap before I call the cops!
He’s my Congresscritter. I live in one of the deepest blue districts in Northern Virginia, so he’s as safe here as in his mama’s arms. In fact, this revelation is probably a career enhancer.
Drudge has it up too.
I think you’re right. Moran proved that he didn’t care, he gave advice but he never crossed the line of telling the guy he should do it. Close but no cigar.
The Voldemort of FR claims there was a meeting of 5 powerful people - including Soros.
He was told that there wouldn’t be any stealing of the election this time. Just sit down and keep the money they let him have.
Interesting story.
Fact or fiction???
Who knows.
Boehner? Boehner? Boehner? Bueller?
who is our voldemort and how did i miss out on this? heck i miss QUIDAM, didn't realize we had anyone even remotely as intriguing any more!
I just hope it follows his M.O. of collecting dozens of recorded stings, releasing one, getting their response (e.g. He was just instructing on election law, he is not affiliated with the Obama campaign, etc)... and then release the next one with an Obama staffer providing fake docs. One can dream!
I wouldn't even call it advice - he told what the law was about ID and said that information would have to be faked. It was obvious he has never done that as the fake reporter asked him how to do it and Moran didn't know, said it would be hard to do.
I think Moran was just stringing the guy along and at the end Moran was laughing about it.
Anyone who works in elections, knows what their state law is about ID and what they would have to do to get around that. What Moran told him is not secret information. It can be found in their laws which can be accesssed by going to their Secretary of State website and clicking on the law.
That describes what ID is acceptable so one could pick the ID he/she wants to fake.
It's a stupid idea as one would likely end up in prison, not jail. Faking one is as bad as faking 100 under the law.
Requiring a picture ID is the answer to a lot of voting problems as one would have to fake a picture voter ID card and that would be extremely difficult.
That would be good. It just might happen. In any case Pat Moran revealed himself to be a rather sleazy character. And not too bright not to have told the guy to beat it right at the start.
It sounded to me like he was giving him advice.
Ha-ha!
I “friended” Olivia Hussey (yes, THAT actress) on FB...
She posts all kinds of liberal crap that I usually don’t pay any attention to. But today she posted a Reuters map and article proclaiming how Obama was going to win in a landslide...
Of course the usual ragtag libtard friends were commenting “I pray so”, blah, blah, blah.
So I commented that “I believe so to, with followers like this:” then attached this article.
I can’t wait to see the barrage of comments that follow and her possibly “unfriending” me
HAHHAHA!!!
It is he who must not be named because FR does not like him.
Clue:
WHI
Just wait. James O'Keefe will face charges of attempt to commit a conspiracy!
The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree.
After I looked at the video, I had a similar reaction, but the appearance was enough.
Rep. Moran's son resigns from father's campaign amid voter fraud scandal
Project Veritis will be very busy over the next few weeks.
Why are you pinging the Admin Moderator?
Because I had second thoughts about the story since I finally checked the video, that it might be more hype than substance, and I said so in a report abuse message. I thought I should now let whomever know that Moran’s son had since resigned.
