You might be right on that.
In fact Chris Wallace just said that Mitt's whole debate plan was to play calm and play ‘Mr Reasonable’ and that may very well work with those mushy undecideds. I am so opinionated that I cant be objective with what I saw directly watching. I have to admit it and wait for more fallout to decide.
Many on the Dem channel have been fretting that the debates allowed MR to look like a reasonable alternative and it looks like Romney took that to heart.
I’m now convinced that Romney knows something we don’t. Something is up. Bad news for Obama. Maybe his internals are off he hook. I’m not sure what it is but Romney was so cool.
I have been one to get a bit ticked off by Republican candidates holding back, probably a lot more than a bit ticked off too.
Tonight, it almost seemed that Obama was twitching at times. Romney didn’t go for the throat on Libya, and Obama tried to move him to that topic several times.
Some of the conventional thought tonight was that Obama was laying in wait, for Romney to make a mistake on that topic. Then when Obama couldn’t entice him into the trap, probably where Obama’s best material centered on, I think Obama got frustrated.
I tell ya, I think Romney’s tactic may have worked far better than I generally would have thought it would.
