I’d go with internals off the hook. So many external signs indicate Obama is where an incumbent can’t be at this date and still win.

I live in CT. I frequently travel in north central CT and western MA. This (should) be deep blue. Obama lawn sings are almost non-existent. However, I have seen hundreds of Romney signs.
