Available to watch on any news channel. 9 p.m. Eastern time.
Yes it's early but NCIS is a rerun.
The MSM was enamored with Obamas horses and bayonets prepared line. But the little heralded deadly message was Romneys Attacking me is not an agenda line.A very succinct way of reinforcing Romneys latest message that his opponent has no plan for the nation other than getting reelected. That line alone underscored the difference between Romneys presidential stage presence and Obamas whiny petulant undertones.
I agree. That was MY favorite line of the night, and it slipped under the radar of many folks, but got under Obama’s skin, LOL!
Is it possible to do a quick and simple translation of this for those of us who have no idea what this means? I’m really curious, not trying to be snarky. If it’s too complex, just say, “Sorry, it’s too complex for you.”;-)
I had to give up posting last night. Nothing would load. Sorry I missed your posts. I thought Romney did what he needed to do but was frustrated that he did not fight back like I would have wanted. My guess is that he knows he is on a path to victory and did not want to upset that trajectory.
Obama on the other hand looked and acted like a petulant child. He was not presidential at all, so I doubt he did himself any favors last night. I would not be surprised if he continues to slide in the polls.
I could not access FR from 8:30 to 10:44 pm last night EST.
It was very frustrating.
MestaMachine posted charts that showed that PSINet in DC had a bottleneck. Since I am in southern DE, I probably go through DC to get to CA on the web.
But this has happened for each of the four debates. It did not happen for the GOP debates when we had live threads earlier this year.
Every other place I went to on the web worked fine, including Facebook, last night.
What is casuing the crawl?
Mitt had a great expression when Barry claimed to be the best friend of Israel (at the beginning of his answer). It was like he was trying to stifle a laugh.
I'm sure he never suspected that he was making history last night. That was epic, and is now a rep that he'll have forever.
I don’t know what s causing it. It was reported on Twitter last night that the hacker group anonymous had done something to the twitter debate hash tag, but I don’t know what they did. My first thought would be some kind of infection in the system, but that is pure speculation.
The mooch doesn’t like this portion of the debate...the hand-shaking, hugging, hi, how are ya stuff she has to participate in. It would be different if those folks were her peeps. But they aren’t, and so she fakes it, smiles, te-te-tes with em and off they go. The Romney’s genuinely enjoy this part of the program, and people, and it shows.
Did any of you notice the look on Odumbo’s face when he hugged Moochelle after the debate? He looked angry, worried, and annoyed all at the same time. Opinions?
I’m highly disappointed that Romney didn’t nail him on Benghazi-Gate. It never even came up! Romney also missed several opportunities to debunk several of Obama’s lies, and I wish he had made more of Obama’s avoidance of Netanyahu.

I hear you, FRiend. I was yelling similar things at Romney during the debate, but I guess he did not hear me down there.
This morning, though, when I thought about it, I realized that, although that is what our side wanted, it was incumbent upon Romney to impress those who may not yet have made up their minds rather than those of us in the ABO camp. (I learned, subsequently, that Krauthammer said pretty much the same thing.)
I cannot understand how anyone could be an undecided at this point, but so it is....
I can recommend Hot Air. It doesn’t have a forum per se but it has a Twitter aggregation that collects similar input from various conservatives. If all you want to do is get a play by play, it’s not bad.
All I know is that nights like last night will eventually kill off this site. There’s really no excuse for continued, utter failure when you know when the heavy traffic is coming.
The simplest way I can put it is as follows.
On a regular day or night when internet traffuc is basically normal, FR is quite reachable from anywhere in the country. But stop and think about LAST NIGHT.
There was baseball, football, and the debate. There were not simply millions of people online at the same time, there were TENS of millions all mostly going to twitter and facebook or liveblogging from across the country, maybe even the world. People were livestreaming all over the place. You jam the hubs. Packets try to find alternate routes but even they are already full. By the time anyone got to Free Republic, the packet loss was fifty per cent or higher because Verio was dropping packets before reaching FR as well...so the connection timed out. There isn’t much FR can do in the face of that because the packets never reached the servers.
” Obama bin Laden, YES HE DID SAY THAT!!!!”
Not true, but ACCURATE : )
” ROMNEY GOT THE LAST WORD AND HE WON!
The Marxists closing statement was gawd awful!”
I looked at Yahoo News, and they are backing off Romney. They were so hopelessly(and sleasily) in the tank for Obama, it must hurt : )

Agree. If its not about her, or him they don’t show much enthusiasm
He very clearly said we’d stand with Israel after an attack, which means ... not before an attack.
Good observation. Once again he wants to lead from behind, weigh his best
political option and then weasel word something so he can play it both ways
if it starts going against him
