GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Proposition 37 is a measure to require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food. There are two sides to this contentious issue.

Nice to see you are comfortable supporting legislation that is a trial lawyer’s dream and you seem to be enjoying rooting for the same nanny state control as Boxer and her fellow travelers. If you have done your homework you would see that, but you would rather join the greenpeace crowd.
LOL is that all you’ve got?
The only totalitarians in this thread are those like you who wish to have ultimate authority and control. If this legislation is so great, why are so many excused from compliance with it? How do you control those who ship in the cheap crops from Mexico and other countries with only their “promise” that it is not genetically modified? How many farms do you own south of the border?
That’s all I need comrade.
The first post I saw about trial lawyers was yours. You need to put car salesmen into your arguments, because people don’t generally like them either. You’ll get more impact if you put all the unsavory professions in your posts.
Odd you should bring up Nanny State as well. A Nanny state “a government that makes decisions for people that they might otherwise make for themselves,” like making the decision they don’t need to know what’s in their food, is nanny state. Not allowing citizens to avoid GMO foods, when they may wish to avoid them is nanny state.
With Monsanto backing the suppression of information, it is technically a fascist nanny state you are rooting for, as Monsanto’s executives move in and out of government positions regarding agricultural regulation with frequency.
The problem is, when the citizens decide on a matter, its a little more difficult for Monsanto to get their way. They could buy us all off, one by one, as they do the politicians, but that would be a mess program and hard to administer. Its easier just to use the government to deny citizens their rights.
And clearly you are on the side of nanny fascism.
You speak like a soviet socialist! No, I shouldn’t be surprised. It was only a matter of time before your true colors emerged.
“those like you who wish to have ultimate authority and control.”
Like an informed citizen? Like an American with the freedom to choose his food instead of being force fed stuff he doesn’t want to eat?
American citizens want freedom, not corporatist fascist nannies ensuring their profits by corrupting our government, running our lives.
This Californian is voting NO !!
Vote for No Knowledge.
You don’t want to know if there are tree nut allergens in a food that is legume, and shouldn’t be there. You’ll just carry an epi pen around the rest of your life, and use it when you are surprised by the unknown allergen spliced into what used to be a safe food for you.
That is, if you can maintain consciousness long enough to get it out of your glove box and give yourself that shot.
Clearly you’re deranged and pretty much uninformed. Post your craziness all you want, your position on this initiative is foolish.
That is pretty funny....maybe the best Greenpeace troll on Free Republic of all time!
You are publicizing them. I am not.
In your corporatist fascist political view, any means to the end of freedom, free agriculture and individualism is good for you. That’s why you wield those groups like a hammer on anyone who thinks differently from what you are paid to think.
You hadn’t thought about it but maybe there are freedom loving Americans who want to make informed decisions about their lives.
But you won’t write to defend freedom. You are a treacherous tool.
No, I don’t think you’re the greenpeas troll, you’re the Monsanto/DuPont troll, and quite a useful idiot.
Right, Hooker Chemicals was a shell company for the Federal Government. Gotcha. It all makes sense now. When Hooker Chemicals dumped all that waste, knowing it would leak in a decade in the next decade or two, they were doing what was in the best interests of the people.
And who exactly are you saying has a problem with reality?
I haven’t figured out if you are on the payroll of Mercola, Greenpeace or one of the organic groups...most likely you have $ interests in the organic industry, but as I wrote, you could get a lot of support and friends on MoveOn, assuming your are not already one of the stars there. I have nothing to do with Monsanto nor DuPont and don’t even know anyone who works at either of those two companies.
