A consensus seems to be forming in the press about tonights crowd at the Romney-Ryan Rally in Daytona, Beach, Florida (no #s released yet):
Huge crowd for Romney and Ryan in Daytona Beach tonight

And traveling press secretary Rick Gorka is doing some of my style of campaigning with a little trash talk:
Florida is Romney/Ryan country and its the next state Obama leaves. #romneyryan2012 instagr.am/p/Q_DH31sctr/

// Even Romney himself is taking the cue:
Romney: The Obama campaign has become the incredible shrinking campaign They keep talking about smaller and smaller things.

Good information.
You betcha! SHS’57
Rasmussen has Romney down one in Ohio. No reason to panic. We should win it. Hopefully we see a small lead develop to calm the nerves. I refuse to see how we are evening up in pa, mi and Wisconsin and not winning Ohio. That would be counterintuitive from any previous election.
Any report of the crowd size?
Photos appear to easily indicate > 10,000!
Suhweet pichers!
Can’t wait to see the PA rally today.
Excellent shots, RightFighter.
Thanks for attending and thanks for sharing the photos. I bet there was a lot of excitement.

Thanks. I make it my resolution to give it a try.

Bike Week (March) and Biketoberfest (NOW) make driving in Daytona impossible ,, if he pulled 8-10,000 now its in Joe Bidens words “A BIG F***IN DEAL” ,, I would only attend if I could walk there the traffic is so bad.
I suspect Romney’s problem is still part of the hangover from the union referendum battle there. Kasich has done well but took a big hit from that fight that he hasn’t fully recovered from. Ohio is one of the union’s last strongholds. They won’t let it go without a massive fight.

The bandshell was a WPA project in 1936 ,, as real as anything in Florida..
I was about 4-5 yrs. old during WWII. Daytona Beach was jam-packed with military. Little kids learned to tell the difference between WAVEs and WACs, sailors and soldiers. These young men and women would gather under that tower on the rightside of the bandshell and jitterbug the night away. I thought it was the greatest thing ever.
On Sunday afternoon, jalopies would race on the beach...to the rightside of the picture posted on #71. The bandshell was the north turn, and the clock tower, or maybe the pier, was the south turn. When ever a racer got stuck in the sand, the crowd would push and lift it out and get it going again.
Thanks.
Ouch! That’s gotta hurt.
wow, neat setting for this rally!!!
Thanks for the photo.
There are several threads on FR which are dedicated to teaching Freepers basic HTML. Here's another good one:
Yeah, I agree. The GOP screw ups in Ohio in the Taft years, plus the big vote this year is bound to turn some off.
I also think the campaign was tailor built to work in that region. The ‘Bin Laden is Dead, GM is alive’ is a tagline for the union Dems and Indys in the auto union states. That doesn’t have much impact in FL or VA, but might be able to sway some union folks there.
I think Ohio is also laging a little becuase so much resrouce is being dumped there by the Obama campaign. We have seen it here in FL, and the race was close until the last 10 days. Romney’s focus on the last few weeks set in and he took a good lead. I hope we see him at least even, if not a point or two ahead going into Nov 6th. I still believe these polls using 2008 as a starting point are incorrect, but at the same time, the month-long early voting is an aid to the other side. If the national polls are bending out direction the rest of the way, I believe we are going to pick up IA, WI, NM, and at least one other surprise state that may make Ohio meaningless anyway. I still want to win it and don’t want to count on those other states. They have let us down before.
im seeing romeny sings pop up in westchester county today outside of NYC
great pics!!!!
What great memories!
