Today’s presidential tracking poll from Rasmussen shows a two-point gain for Barack Obama, bringing him into a tie with Mitt Romney at 48/48. At first blush, that looks as though Obama may have righted the ship after the second debate, but Rasmussen warns that the most recent surveys show momentum in the opposite direction:

Saying ditto’s, I did too, makes me incredibly happy. Even though in my case, as I live in Illinois (ugh), my vote probably is immaterial. However, it still pleases me that Obama will probably have a much closer vote in his old home state than he thinks he will, and that I will have helped in that effort.

The options are Obama or Romney. If you don’t vote for Romney then you are supporting Obama. Obama is out to destroy this country and remake it in his image - please don’t help him.

Well, first of all you have margin of error in both Ras and Gallup as with all polls of course. So one having a tie today and the other a 6 point lead may not be that much different when you figure that in.
I think the reality is Romney with a 2-3 point lead and both polls will show that in the next few days or so - one going up, one going down.
I’d happily vote for Paul Ryan or Allen West.
Do as you wish at the top of the ballot. I believe the rest of us can bring this one home without you.
However, do you plan to vote -- and add to the down-ballot totals -- or sit at home and pout?
If it's the former, you'll get no grouse from me. But, if it's the latter...
I’ve aways thought the recent Romney 6-7 point lead in Gallup was either an outlier or an outright setup to start the “Obama bounce/comeback” meme.
0bama can’t get the car out of the ditch. Even with the Republicans in the back seat.
should be R53 O46 with 1% other - if undecided factored in - Romney may be right with the other 47 remark
