Shortly after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney enjoyed cookies and soft drinks with the Rev. Billy Graham and his son Franklin Graham on Thursday at the elder Graham's mountaintop retreat, a reference to Mormonism as a cult was scrubbed from the website of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
In a section of the website called Billy Graham's My Answer there had been the question "What is a cult?"
Answer: "A cult is any group which teaches doctrines or beliefs that deviate from the biblical message of the Christian faith."
"Some of these groups are Jehovah's Witnesess, Mormons, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spritualists, Scientologists, and others," the site continued.
No longer. On Tuesday, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association confirmed that page has recently been removed from the site.
“Our primary focus at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has always been promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ," Ken Barun, chief of staff for the association, told CNN in a statement. "We removed the information from the website because we do not wish to participate in a theological debate about something that has become politicized during this campaign."

And I am highly offended by your efforts to silence folks from speaking out about the Anti-Christian cult: MORMONism.
Um, Romney got a law degree from Harvard, and passed the Michigan bar exam, so at least at that moment, he was a lawyer. Don’t know if he’s still active or not.
My law degree is from Liberty University. I was a member of the inaugural class of 2007. Law Review. I interned with Matt Staver at Liberty Counsel. We had Christian people calling us trying to get the MA Romney administration off their back over abortion, hospital workers who wanted us to help them get a conscience exemption. This was AFTER Mitt’s alleged conversion to prolife. I know it happened because I got the triage call. I know you don’t trust the motives of a stranger on the internet, and I get why, but I’m telling you, he is not what either the Rs or Ds are making him out to be. Be careful what you wish for.
BTW, at Liberty, they didn’t have a class in how to confuse the issues. Not saying it never happens, but if it does its not on purpose and not part of my training. In fact, one of Liberty’s main purposes for the program was to produce lawyers who would keep the legal issues clear and focused on Christian principles. At Harvard from day one they teach you to leave your morals at the door. At Liberty, you not only brought your morals to class, but you were required to make them better. It was and still is a good program.
As for personal attacks, cursing someone’s evil intent succeeds on several levels. You ate not God. You don’t know anything of my intent beyond what I reveal through my words. I promise and assure you, my only intent is to keep faith with my God. You read anything else into it, you’re just making stuff up.
As for Washington, we love the state, especially Seattle, but my kids didn’t get accepted there. Liberty was actually my second choice. I wanted beaches for my wife. So we end up in Illinois. Go figure.
