The Supreme Court said Tuesday that early voting can proceed in Ohio — a major victory for President Obama.
In a one-sentence order with no explanation, the court rejected Ohio Republicans' efforts to block early voting three days before Election Day. The court left in place a lower court's ruling that said early voting had to be available to all Ohioans — not just military personnel.
Democrats initiated the legal battle over Ohio's early voting policy after state officials decided to eliminate three days of early voting that were offered in 2008. Minorities, who traditionally favor Democrats, often take advantage of early voting.

Oh, “minorities” like early voting, do they? Well, whatever they want, then.
Seems like they left the Ohio Law in place which provided for early voting by all rather than just the military.
The next Congress should introduce and pass legislation that any person who commits voter fraud, ie voting more than once, under the wrong name, without being registered or without being a citizen, would forever forfeit any federal assistance including social security and medicare.
Some people will say this is harsh but no one accidentally commits voter fraud. It is always and intentional affirmative act. Not a crime of passion.
Make it a capital offense.
It will be hilarious if barky successfully steals Ohio but loses blue states like MI and PA
I’ve been voting early in California for two years. It’s called the absentee ballot. I’m mailing mine in today, thus making me immune to any further inane political ads, deceptive polls, and the media spin weasels.
The Clintons follow his orders. The majority of the SC follows his orders. The media follow his orders. This is one powerful dude we’re up against.

Not so. Our military men and women still get the 3 days of early voting. The Supreme Court's (unanimous) ruling only means that civilians get the same right.
Sorry folks, but as far as I’m concerned if you can’t vote on election day too bad. That is unless you live out of state or are a member of our military. I liked it better back in the old days. You made the effort to vote on election day. In all my years I’ve never had an employer tell me I can’t leave for a little while so I could vote.
No, because there are too many Democrats intercepting ballots and voting on them or filling them in for the elderly with dementia and the disabled. You can’t risk killing innocent people over voter fraud.
Some day one of the following two things will happen:
- Some major gigantic scandal will break about a Republican candidate two weeks before election day, but he will still win on the basis of all of the early votes that were cast for him before the story came out
OR
- a Democrat candidate will die close to the election but tens of thousands of Democrats will have already cast their votes for him.
And suddenly the Democrat Party will do a 180, whine, cry, stomp their feet and declare that early voting is “unfair”.
Okay, though SS fraud and Medicare fraud are not infinitely harder to pull off than voter fraud. A little harder, given the insanity of voter registration laws, but not prohibitively so.
Whaddya mean, if you live out of state? Then register wherever you live. If you live out of country, then don’t vote.
Should have been a little clearer. I was refering to those who are residents of a state, but out of that state during the election. My better half is a travel nurse. We are usually in one place for 1-3 months. When we are out of Tennessee we vote absentee.
stop this madness of early voting, the left loves it so they can keep voting early and often.

If blacks and hispanics don;t like getting in longer lines then tough crap, most have no idea what they;re voting for anyway , but saying that neither does most of the left.
Go back to how it used to be, eevryone makes that effort on election day, thus cutting out the vote early and often which the left loves to do
I live in England, due to family obligation. I am NOT giving up my rights as a US citizen to vote that scumbag Obama out of office. You dig? I want a decent, proud America to come home to. I have 6 revolutionary war Ancestors who fought to establish the USA — and I will not have my vote vested interest in the USA by a bunch of illegal aliens without having my vote count.
