Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.
The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz – I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.
Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.
Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.
The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.

Cool...he probably will not come but gonna invite if it is cool. Ya’ll will love him!! He has been on to the commies in our midst for decades! I use to think he was crazy years ago when he would talk that stuff(he is about 10 years ahead of me)....dang if he wasn’t right!!

I sure will! He’s met several of the group in Maine, but he just thinks he’s “needed” here. Bah....it’d be good for him to shoot some stuff. LOL!
Besides we could drive to NYT’s house and bring our own guns for a change.
I might drive anyway if he has space for me in his garage. Plane tickets are not cheap this year! Yikes!
You can always park and or stay here too if needed. No garages though and recent smash and grab perps roaming my neighborhood! Last week, 3-4 Mexicans shot at my neighbor trying to break into her home!! Fairly nice neighborhood too...scary. This year I want to practice on the AR autos if someone will let me. All I have is a few shotguns and no balconies to shoot into the air from...lol(per Biden’ s instructions ) for helpless little ladies.
I hope your neighbors shot back and hit them. This is getting ridiculous!

No she did not. The worst thing is that on the official crime report that I found..the cops never even mentioned that she was shot at or the description of the perps. I tracked down the cop through the crime report and called him. He tried to play it cool but he finally admitted that it was 3-4 Mexicans,banging first on her front door..then 2 of them went to back door. She confronted them in front after trying to ignore the first bang on front door..they ran and shot at her. But cop says to me....’we found casings on the ground but no bullet..we think the suspects just got scared and the gun was fired accidentally while they were trying to flee.’ Neighbors said they heard the shots..woman says she saw them raise and point gun at her and fire...yet.. Crime report says just an attempted burglary.
Can you believe it?! The sympathy and excuses for the perps was coming from the head cop for my neighborhood. Stunning!! His advice to me was to always answer a knock at my door..then they will not rob or break in.
(Shaking head)..this is in Texas mind you...

For real!! Bless her heart, I don’t know her, just got the scuttlebutt through the neighborhood gossip, but she sent out a letter to all of her immediate neighbors and let us know what happened so we could be on watch. I have not slept well since.

Yep....Mr. pen has to take his gabapentin at night, so he is out for the count...lol..just little ole me and my dog standing guard all night...lol. Thing is, it happened about 11:30 in the morning..broad daylight. I am here most of time by myself during day..but keeping my firearm handy all day and night now.
For for pity's sake, we invite humblegunner so no worries!
