"CNN Breaking News -- Mitt Romney Almost President," reads the subject line of an email phishing scam aimed at political junkies.
Inside the email is a collection of headlines that appear to link to CNN.com. But clicking through won't inform readers - instead, the links take users to a site that hosts the Blackhole Exploit kit code. Right now, the Blackhole Exploit kit accounts for 28 percent of all Internet threats, Sophos said. The kit can load a Java Trojan and relay which exploits exist on a victim's computer back to the BlackHole server. Hackers use trickery through malicious Web pages and .pdf and .exe files.
Passionate for politics or not, everyone should take care when opening email links, even those that appear to come from accounts owned by people you know or a seemingly credible source like CNN.

Liberals will open it in alarm. Whatever phising funds come forth will be funneled into Obama’s camapign through China. It’s all “good.”
Two years ago I would’ve scoffed at your theory in derision. Today I might believe it.
Is this covered under obamacare?

Android phones & tablets use java.
iPhone does not. Thanks to Steve Jobs for pushing back on the many complaints from users.
You can uninstall or disable java on you computer and web browser. There is no fix for
This exploit yet.
Html5 will eventually make java and flash obsolete.
I filter everything except that which comes from my family or friends.
” a seemingly credible source like CNN.”
CNN is not a credible source.
seemingly credible source like CNN
Seemingly or not. there is little credibility at CNN.
CNN hasn't been credible since the days they covered up Saddam Hussein's campaign of torture, abuse, and murder of Iraqi citizens so CNN could keep their Baghdad bureau.
But "thanks for playing".
An UNSEEMLY source like CNN?
unseemly:
not according with established standards of good form or taste

Unfortunately, that's where many of the threats come from when one of their pc's get infected without their knowledge.
Not a darn thing wrong with that!
“The kit can load a Java Trojan and relay which exploits exist on a victim’s computer back to the BlackHole server.”
If you know which server is taking in the info, how about sending in a SWAT team to eliminate the hackers. Is everyone stone-cold stupid or am I missing something?
Sounds like the phony email that was supposed to be from Mike Huckabee. It asked for funds of Allen West because he was supposedly nine points behind Murphy (?).
