Obama said in a radio interview today that he's "trying to keep his day job." I guess that means he takes no calls after he's off the clock.
1st - I thought the attack began at 8:30pm Banghazi time. 2nd - Your time calculation is going the wrong way. Benghazi is 6 hrs ahead of eastern time. (it is right now, 4:24AM Sun. in Tripoli and 10:24 PM Sat in D.C.)
6 hour time difference between DC and Tripoli
That means it was the middle of the afternoon in D.C. when it started
When the call came at 3AM, Hillary thought it was a wrong number and hung up.
Obama doesn’t get up until 8AM.
Lessay it’s Dec. 7th’ 1942 8 am Honolulu and HD ViDEO existed. Suppose that HUNDREDS in DC had been able to watch a 6 hour attack unfold and that the ENTIRE US Military response fell onto the shoulders of just FOUR guys with rifles and grenades.
Suppose further it could be demonstrated that FDR and the Secty of State had been TOLD and they simply WENT TO SLEEP:

WASHINGTON (AP) Senior State Department officials provided a more detailed picture Tuesday of the consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya, that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. A look at how they say the attack took place:

Stevens arrives in Benghazi and holds meetings on and off the consulate grounds on Sept. 10. He spends the night, and for the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. holds meetings only inside the compound. It is an enclosed area about 300 yards long by 100 yards wide, with a 9-foot outer wall topped by barbed wire and augmented by barriers, steel drop bars and other security upgrades. There are four buildings in the compound. Five diplomatic security officers are present, along with four members of a local militia deployed by Libya’s government to provide added security.
Around 8:30 p.m.
Stevens finishes his final meeting of the day and escorts a Turkish diplomat outside the main entrance of the consulate. The situation is calm. There are no protests.
Around 9:40 p.m.
Agents hear loud noises, gunfire and explosions near the front gate. A barracks at the entrance housing the local militiamen is burnt down. Agents viewing cameras see large group of armed men flowing into the compound. Alarm is sounded. Telephone calls are made to the embassy in Tripoli, officials in Washington, the Libyan authorities and a U.S. quick reaction force located at a second compound a little over a mile away.
It's basically a similar situation. The Rangers asked for armored vehicles for protection, but Les Aspin and his deputies rejected the request. And again, there was a pattern of violence and hostile incidents in both cities prior to the major attacks in Mogadishu and Benghazi.
It was Obama’s 3 AM call in the middle of the afternoon - and he still couldn’t be bothered.
Thanks. Okay, 9:40pm Libyan time. So that means it was 3:40pm in D.C. If it went on for approximately 6 hrs, then would make it about 3:30AM Benghazi time, which is 9:30PM D.C. time.
So where the hell was Obama? and Clinton? Nobody from the press has bothered to ask that question, but they were all so concerned about George Bush sitting in a classroom with grammar school kids on 9/11/01.

They still won’t say the date it happened - Sept 11th, 2012.
Can you imagine what the newspaper headlines would have been the next morning if this was a Republican president?

” What was the facility in Benghazi? What made it so important even in the face of mounting threats? If it was important enough to operate, why wasn’t it important enough to protect? Did the Ambassador ever threaten to close it down if it weren’t protected? The real issue, however, is that the site could not be protected from the sort of attack we saw on 9/11 short of 30 or 40 well armed US troops. Why was it so important to risk so many lives?
