Wasserman Schultz: GOP 'un-American' for seeking answers to Benghazi attack
By: Joe Newby
October 11, 2012
According to Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Republicans are "un-American" for seeking answers to the terror attack in Benghazi on September 11, the Washington Post reported Thursday.
It is irresponsible and un-American, quite frankly, for my Republican colleagues in Congress to be jumping on this immediately as a political opportunity, she told CNN's Piers Morgan.
**SNIP**
"Piers, it is not, it is not OK for you to be saying that the administration was putting out completely false statements. They put out information that they had at the time based on the intelligence they were given and then as the days wore on and more," she responded.
"That turned out to be completely wrong," Morgan said, cutting her off.
"Well, that doesnt mean it was false," she said.

The Left needs the Right to pay for their dopey programs. The Right needs the Left for...nothing.
That the Left is not filling their pants on a daily basis with this certain knowledge indicates the complete and utter failure of the GOP. I hope Romney-Ryan pummels that sh*t out of Obama-Biden. But more than that I hope the rest of the country rediscovers its b*lls.
I used to talk like that, after drinking too much, years ago. In fact, English became my 2nd language. LOL. (Haven’t had a drink in 21mos.)
Yea, I gave it up too. About 3 years ago. Alice and Al Kohal (if you remember Laugh In) almost had me going away for a while.
THAT was NOT a reasonable path. Never missed it for a moment after that.
Nobody should want the country to live thru two more years like that. The country was distracted and rudderless.
However, in retrospect, Watergate was a tempest in a teapot. Especially, compared to Benghazi, which was either a.) at best, the tragic result of extraordinary naivete on the part of an incompetent State Department and SOS, or b.) at worst, the inevitable result of a cynical miscalculation on the part of the President and the Secretary of State.
As they say, Nixon was "covering up a third-rate burglary". Obama and Clinton are covering up events which cost the lives of four Americans.
Accordingly, in the interest of national posterity, we should not shrink from getting to the bottom of this affair -- whether Obama wins in November or not. Like individual citizens, entire American administrations must be held accountable for their actions.
Even if the voters retire this administration, the investigations should be pursued and a proper conclusion reached...published...and prosecuted.
Dissent is patriotic.
With comments like that, I’m thinking it must be more like Wasswerman Schlitz.
Dear God, we need to scrub this administration. The election can not happen soon enough. Forget The showing of ID. Let there be a mandatory intelligence test be given before allowing people to vote.
You have a point Shipmate. Hell-o, I’ve gotten medals for worse. Seriously, you know the code, “Leave no man behind.” And, I would promise my guys, “Everybody goes home!” It ticks me off to no end that the Ambassador and the others were left out there vunerable and that NO attempt was made to respond once the attack was known to be taking place! Then they trot this congaline of freaks out to lie not only to the families but the American people. I could just explod I’m so mad.
Yes, I realized my mistake after I posted it.
“That turned out to be completely wrong,” Morgan said, cutting her off.
“Well, that doesnt mean it was false,” she said.
Sounds like Eric Holder.
BO can say he is the Son of a Kenyan goat herder while he is the son of a Communist agitator, but that is not false. It’s just “innaccurate.”
please don’t insult cheap beer like that
Remember all that “McCarthyism” the Demwits often use to accuse?
Thanks Libloather.
** “ I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, “We are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!” **
