I don’t go to McDonald’s these days, but Ray Kroc would be spinning in his grave to have ANY TV in one of his stores. The man didn’t even want PAY-HONES in the place.
For my part, I’d rather take my little kids to places that are not likely to be showing lurid stories on a big screen. That rules out almost all news channels, except maybe CNBC and the Weather Channel.
“He wanted to keep his two children away from the tough realities of the world.”
In other words, he’s raising slacker leftists.
Obvious retort from the owner of that McDonald’s: “Take your business elsewhere.”
Make the kid a bologna sandwich and take her to the park....Geeeeez
i don't know... i remember trying to shelter my two boys during their "in the garden" years from some of the harsh realities of the world, among other trashy, or even junky worldly "stuff." i wanted to keep then from becoming like my jaded nieces and nephews... it was tough...
Video on the link won’t play right now. Must be getting a lot of ‘hits’.
I don’t eat at McDonald’s, but I would be doing business with that particular franchise if I was in the area...frickin’ power-mad control freaks...
Make the kid a PB&J sandwich and take her to the park....Geeeeez
I would like the gym to take off pmsnbc from one of the tv’s.
I would like to have CNN taken off ALL airport screens.
I would like hotels to stop wasting money on USAtoday.
I would like Blaze TV to be part of the standard package line up on all cable and satelite TVs.
“No you listen, I’m asking you to turn it off,” Lechner said as he videotaped the argument. “OK, well that’s fine you’re the owner of this McDonald’s right? I can’t wait to put this on the in Huffington Post.
Bump
Actually, you just get yourself one of these:

Works wonders, I hate the fact TV’s are down right ubiquitous... I use this thing all the time. Just discretely turn it off.. most of the time no one even notices, and every once in a while its fun to watch the staff try to figure out “what’s wrong” with the TV.
I would have changed it to CBN and walked away.
I’ve asked for them to switch from CNN. They chose not to. End of story.
GO THE F*** TO ANOTHER EATERY AND SHUT THE F*** UP, LIBTARD!
That’s like a parent complaining about people using profanity in front of 2 and 3 year-old kids. What 2 or 3 year-old knows what any of those words mean? If kids that young have that kind of vocabulary then something is really wrong in those kids’ homes. %$@&#!
Customer sounds like a bullying jackass. “I’m going to put this up on Huffington Post.” Too bad too, because he might have had a point about a news program being shown at McDonald’s. I could see where there would be times where it’s inappropriate, but I can also see times where it’s perfect. Like in the morning when the place is packed with senior citizens hanging out reading the free newspapers.
He’s even worse than a generic liberal, because he belongs to “the cult of nice”, that tries to prevent children from experiencing anything bad, unpleasant, or challenging.
Instead raising them in pastel colors, soothing generic music and no loud noises or sharp edges.
In effect it is psychologically as bad, as a form of child abuse, as was the binding of girls’ feet in Imperial China.
In either case, it is crippling to the child.
The result of such an ‘upbringing’ is that children become obsessed with morbidity, horror, the grotesque, and inhuman brutality, *not* because they want these things, but because they crave the truth, not the “lies by omission” their parents and ‘cult of nice teachers’ taught them.
What is it that is so horrible that I would be denied knowledge of it?
The true unknown, that has no parameters, is far more terrifying than anything that is known. It is the stuff of nightmares. It has no rules, it is shadowy and amorphous. You cannot avoid it, because you do not know what it is.
Does it just kill you and eat you, or does it steal your mind and your soul?
It about drives their kids nuts.
I’m glad my parents didn’t spend their lives protecting me from reality.
It made later life a lot easier to deal with.
I could have grown up sheltered like my liberal cousins. One is a lesbian. Another isn’t satisfied with being a lesbian so she’s trying to convince the world that “androgynous” people like her are an oppressed class. I could be the unionista marxist indoctrinated cousin. I could have been he cousin who hasn’t had any homosexual experiences but thinks he might actually be gay because “all normal boys have those thoughts.”
That guy sounds like a bitch with his style of complaining and lithp. He better man up, or his kids may be hanging around with “Jack Robinson” (Slap Shot reference) when they grow up.
