REYKJAVIK (Reuters) - Pop star Lady Gaga was awarded a peace prize by Yoko Ono in a ceremony in Iceland on Tuesday.
Peace activist Ono said the LennonOno Grant for Peace, established in the name of her late husband, former Beatle John Lennon, rewarded Lady Gaga for combining stardom with activism and changing "the mental map" of the world.
"Lady Gaga is in a position of number one as a singer songwriter," Ono told Reuters Television. "And when you are number one you don't want to risk yourself. And she did."

Piece of what?
I see they have the spelling wrong. It was suppose to read, “Piece Prize”.
The only thing to make this a full hat-trick of fail is if Bjork sings a tribute song in her honor.
Would it be wrong to pray for a city killing meteor?
Why not? This prize has as much credibility as the one 0bama, al Gore, Jimmuh Cartuh and Yasser Arafat got.
I am sooooo sick of the freak show in the entertainment world that I need constant Maalox.
Headline: YOKO Gives GAga PP in Iceland.
Obama edged out underneath.
Justin Bieber guest-starred and they all joined hands and vomited onstage.
Who is Lady Caca?
Lady Gaga for combining stardom with activism and changing “the mental map” of the world.
Yeah, the world is a lot stupider thanks to her presence and work.
Yoko Gaga Band...
You've got Maalox? Can you get more?
Ono wouldn’t even be a footnote in music history had she not married John Lennon. It is fitting that a nobody gave a prize to a nothing.
If someone were to challenge me to invent a more irrelevant, brainless and pointless headline than the one leading this story, I would be hard pressed to improve on the current one.
I think this is the one reason why they were created. ;)
” Ono wouldnt even be a footnote in music history had she not married John Lennon.”
Yoko Ono minus Lennon = Local Yokel
Sadly, the GaGa Peace Proze holds more weight that the Nobel Prize Obama got....
Who knew Yoko was still alive?
