In a letter sent Friday night to Obama campaign manager Jim Messina, NBC told the Obama campaign to cease using network footage in a new 30-second spot, released shortly after Wednesdays debate, in which Andrea Mitchell is shown on air citing an independent, stating that Mitt Romneys tax plan would cost $4.8 trillion over 10 years, a source said.

NBC News has not granted any campaign permission to use our news material. As is our practice, we have requested that the Obama campaign refrain from using NBC News material in this and future advertisements, the network said in a statement.

Ha!
andrea: Aha! You wore the same outfit twice!
Sarah: shah....ooohhh...I’m SOOOO busted
Or to be embarrased that their “talent” are so factually incorrect — “independent study?” It used to be that a news organization could take the 5 seconds needed to verify that the Romney campaign never called for a 5 trillion tax cut. Now they pretend there’s some “independent study” that says otherwise.
NBC has no right to stop it. Fair use covers such inclusion.
That ad ran 3 times on KOLO ABC affiliate in Reno last Friday night between 5 PM and 5:49 PM.
It repeats all the lies that Mitt was refuting on Wed night.
Could anyone’s face register more hate!???
Mitchell has had so many facelifts, it appears she cannot ever smile again! How old is shoe now???
Showed up in Reno on Friday night on KOLO ABC affiliate evening news. I saw it run 3 times between 5 PM & 5:49 PM.
See here’s the problem:
There are those in the GOP who have been exporting American jobs. And many on the left as well.
As many as they can. As fast as they can.
That is a BIG problem. As more and more Americans lose jobs, more and more Americans become dependent upon government.
We must bring back American jobs. Not (talk) about it, but do it right now.
By next election may already be too late.
She’s every bit of 35 I think.
True that.
BTW, what’s the name of that “independent PAC”? I’ve listened to the ad several times and I still can’t make it out.
Anybody?
Agreed. Mitchell comes off as a partisan in the commercial. Of course she is partisan but NBC has to pretend it isn't.
Shown on AMC. 5:10 pm pdt
Romney surrogates need to slyly start inferring that in the Romney administration, the “news” media is going to have a whole new ballgame to deal with.
