Malia and Sasha Obama Will Eat Well at Sidwell Friends

**SNIP**
The post got me to looking at the Sidwell Friends' online menus, which look like Nora Pouillon put them together. I mean, look at some of these dishes: "Fennel & Arugula w/ Parmesan," " Organic Pear & Gorgonzola Salad," " All Natural Curried Chicken Salad," and "Pumpkin Bread." Hell, I remember when french fries were considered exotic on junior high cafeteria menus.
But I must say, I think I spot a mini-trend among gourmets and budding gourmets in the city: The Sidwell middle school/upper school menu will feature Brunswick stew on Thursday, Dec. 4.

No, the Sidwell Friends menu has been up for a long time and it has been reported many times about Obama’a kidz lunches ...
The menu will stay up ...
It’s done to prepare them to have just enough food not to quite starve; but can still work as slaves. Cuba does this.
The Obamas' little Ferris wheel ride as leaders of the free world has just about come to an end. THANK GOD.
Moules frites (steamed mussels with fries), a salad involving beets and cheese, and lemon flan.
I wonder what kind of wine they served. I'm guessing a Loire white.
I try to imagine an American 3rd-grader enthusiastically digging into steamed mussels. Nope, not happening.
Certainement! I would never serve red wine with mussels.
After Obama loses in November, he and Moochelle will demand to stay in the White House so that their kids can continue to attend Sidwell Friends school. The Washington Post and Chris Matthews will publicly support this and viciously attack anyone who tries to move them out of White House. It's for the kids you know.
I’m personally betting they move to NYC.
I expect Baraq to get a gig on MSNBC. I really don’t think the guy can bear to be out of the daily news feed and that would give him a chance to do it.
I’m sure NYC has a number of similar schools.
Various reports say they are buying a $35 million mansion in Hawaii.
Personally, I think Zippy looks like death warmed over, either due to AIDS or drugs or both. I’m not expecting him to last long after he’s out of office.
You’re right about him needing attention, but I don’t see him with a gig on MSNBC. That would require showing up to work. He will have to get his attention fix from something that doesn’t require that much effort.
For 30 thousand a year tuition, I am sure those meals are 10 bucks a day at least. They also most likely don’t have a single kid on “free lunches”. I would imagine that they are part of the four food groups for every meal. Public schools have more children to feed which probably explains why the food is junkier.
Let the peasants eat cake!
From what I see, the first brats eat very well.
Well if the parents want to pay for it, why not? The problem with public schools is the parents want everything for free.
Are you kidding?
A pre-paid beach mansion in Hawaii with 24/7 Security For Life paid for by the stinkin’, eeeevvvviiiilll American taxpayer, where the State Run Media will clamor for years to his every utterance.... or being a workaday chump in smelly, crowded NYC.
Gee... wonder which one His Marxistness will choose!
Think of this 70 year old great grandfather digging into mussels. I’d rather eat my forearm.
Well, the governmenat [according to moon-eyed Obama supporters] already gives out free cell phones, pays your mortgage, and gives out free gas ...
Why not school lunches ???
Middle and Upper Schools - $34,268 (includes hot lunch) per year
Double that. We are paying the tab.
I disagree heartily. Luxury means much less to Baraq than exposure and fame. Hawaii is completely off the beaten path and 6 times zones from the east coast where all the network news and power brokers happen.
Hawaii might be his vacation home, but it won’t be his everyday place. He’ll spend about as much time there as Shrillary and BJ do in Little Rock.
