It is with great sadness that I inform you that our longstanding Wisconsin FReeper friend “The Crow” passed away back in January.
DJ was the guy who told me about Free Republic back in 2000. He and I worked together in the 2000 demonstrations in Milwaukee and Madison in support of President Bush during the Florida recount and the constitutional challenge to his presidency. Likewise, the 2003 Support Our Troops Rallies in Milwaukee. Besides FR, he was also involved with the Patriot Guard.
We stayed in contact, although not as frequently as we should have, he worked with me during the 2008 and 2010 elections. When I couldn’t reach him during the recall elections in June, I assumed that he was just too busy. Today, upon trying to reach him again, I got an email from his colleagues at work passing along the sad news.
He was a good conservative, a good FReeper, and a good man.

Lost my Dad to the same thing 4 yrs ago, and it’s awful...
As for The Crow - he’s with the good guys now, looking out for the rest of us.
