There are some democrats who now want to stop the debates.

Just read this post in the political forums from a user called "Good Progressive".

"No More Obama-Romney debates"

President Obama should deputize Bill Clinton to do the next debate.

Our President is far too busy with matters of state to deal with this man "Romney", whom he does not even know.

President Obama has no need to prove himself to anybody.

If Romney will not accept this, then fine - NO more debates!

What is right is right, there is NO need for debate to find out what it is.

Progress! Forward!

I’d love if Barky cancelled any further debates. Romney could buy a half hour of air time and debate an empty chair. It would be awesome. (although the chair would probably do better than Barky did last night. Certainly the smell of flop sweat wouldn’t be as strong.)

I can’t see why Romney would turn down the chance to debate Clinton. It would be the greatest boon to any presidential candidate ever: an hour and a half of asking why Obama isn’t there.

too busy with matters of state??

seriously??

He studiously AVOIDS meeting with foreign leaders while partying down with rappers and appearing on TV chat shows, but he’s too busy to debate??

It’s a debate about being the President, you’d think he would know more about that than Romney, wouldn’t you??

lolz

I would like to see them add 2 new debates -- vp candiates v presidential candidates:

Biden vs Romney and then Ryan vs Obama.

Heck, Obama practically did that last night. Did you notice how often he invoked Bill Clinton?

I thought that was rather amusing, since Clinton only adopted more sensible policies after he was forced to do so by the GOP legislative majority, which once had to go so far, under Newt Gingrich, as to refuse to accept Clinton’s duplicitous and dishonest budget negotiations, so that the government “was shut down” until Clinton came around.

Still, having Obama constantly invoking the supposed glory days of Bill Clinton, who left the presidency 12 years ago, was pretty pathetic.
