Prez crushed by Romney
Howie Carr
If last nights debate was a prizefight, it would have been stopped at 9:25 p.m.
I had a feeling Obama might have a problem when I heard he was using John Kerry as his Mitt Romney stand-in. If that was the best Liveshot could do getting Barack ready for Mitt, he should be fired this morning even before Bobby Valentine gets his walking papers.
Did you notice how Obama kept looking away from Romney? It took a while to figure out who he was looking for, but then I realized it was TOTUS, his missing TelePrompTer of the United States.
No one should ever use the words cerebral and Barack in the same sentence ever again. He bragged about cutting taxes $3,600 for middle-class families maybe they can buy a new car.
And they said George H.W. Bush was out of touch!
It wasnt just that Romney was smart. It was that Barack was revealed as a clueless dolt...

I did that multiple times last night; even when Mitt was not calling him a liar directly!

3600 divided by 3.60 a gallon = 1000 gallons of gas = 19.23 gallons per week = 481 miles driving per week at average of 25 miles per gallon = 68 miles per day of driving = 34 miles to work and 34 miles back to work with no family driving added at all.
IOW, they won’t be able to buy anything extra with the money due to Obama driving the price of gas sky high.
And we’ve not considered the additional cost of electricity and other fuels for home heating and other things, so we’ll not deal with that, and that will balance out that the price increase was only $2 per gallon.

It was probably kindergarten where they sit on the floor sometimes as a matter of course. I wouldn’t be surprised for The Won to do something like that.

It was difficult to tell whether Romney was debating an empty suit or an empty chair.
Obama phoned it in.
Strangely, Obama’s debate performance was similar to Gingrich’s during the 2 Florida primary debates.

Obama seemed completely out of his element and more of an AA result.
I kept getting the impression that Obama was acting like someone who was debating the President [President Romney], rather than someone who IS the President.
Obama didn't seem to have much substance (facts) at his command. He, of course, doesn't have much of a record to run on.
Ironically, one of Obama's early statements was 'get away from the past and move on to the future.' That after almost 4 years of blaming Bush? Forward to what? Obama's last 3 budgets got ZERO votes. Joblessness? CNN had a random act of journalism and showed that, for the just over 4 million new jobs Obama claims, just over 4 million old jobs were lost, for a net difference of ONLY about 250,000 new jobs in the last 4 years.

Nuances and moments from Denver debate, Romney team can use
Obama's arrogance: "all the experts say this, say that..." We'll, it's quite convenient when your propagandists, donors and backers are YOUR chosen "experts."
Repeating a lie... till you believe it... Where in recent history did we see it again? Even Obama's fan, the liberal Daily Beast said: "Obamas $4 trillion number was inaccurate."

I watched the debate via CSPAN on the TV and turned immediately to CNN after the debate.
It was entertaining to watching the leftist commentators in panic mode, but even they could not cover up the fact that Obama’s first debate was EPIC FAIL. Several of them did conclude that this debate was a game changer. Last week, according to the media, Romney was OUT. After last night, he was not only IN, but IN at the head of the race.

My supposition was that the kids sat on the floor at first, then got some extra chairs in there in about the first ten minutes and it was done.
Oh, and the ten year old books? She’s probably a math teacher, so who gives a damn?

As I just noted on another thread, John Kerry probably just lost his job as debate partner the next Secretary of State.
